Renewing our visa for an extra 30 days in the Philippines - 28 hours to travel there and back!

- We originally came in to the Philippines on a 30 day visa, but after staying for a few weeks we decided we really loved our spot on Polillo Island. The downside is, we had to travel 9 hours there and 9 hours back in one day to get our visas renewed. We were able to renew 3 of our visas but our youngest 3 had to be renewed in person. We made it work and even had a little fun too!

So much fun… it was probably because the younger are under 13 that they needed to see them. Years ago on a mission trip we had issues with one kid that was 12 getting into Philippines, they wanted us to pay, luckily we had a Philippino with us who talked to them and we didn’t have to pay.
I’m jealous! I live in Texas now and that’s where I came from.Polillo Island, the last time I was up there was 1987 mostly all my relatives from my mother side still living in the Island,hopefully my family from Canada and I we can visit that place again.That’s a beautiful Island,and enjoy your stay in Polillo Island.😊 🏝️

Yes...manila is a stressful city. But you can also find low-cost houses or apartments in the outskirts of Manila....say in provinces like Laguna, Batangas or Cavite. Hope you might consider these places so you can create more contents. Here to support you...stay safe y'all.

Glad you made it, long travels is one of the cons of living in remote islands in the Phil's., considering the location. Nevertheless, no reason to not enjoy your holiday you may visit other beautiful islands and tourists spots nearby. Ask locals for info, they are willing and always glad to be of help.

Thank you for visiting the Philippines. Actually had you guys been more familiar with routes and all that, travelling back to Polillo island would have been easy. It's like taking a bus or a ride to Infanta Quezon, then jumping on to a pump boat or banca to Polillo island. Once on the island you can take any motorcycle ride back to your house. Infanta or Quezon province, on the island of Luzon, is just across Pollilio. The route you took is actually safer and more tourist or family friendly while what I was suggesting is for the more adventurous ones. Hope you can visit the Philippines again soon. Yo i admire yall ao much esp d kids patience .. i can imagine how hjmid,hot,and the traffc is no joke .. i lived in manila(not frm there im probinsiyana) and d traffc is insanr ,i just got used to it .. kids are always down and thyre all ok even u guys ddnt stay at d hotel whtsoever ❤❤❤ im glad u guys will stay longer in polilio ..

It is more beautiful in Batanes Island - the northmost part of the Phil. You should try before going back to the USA.
You should have looked for another option. There is a bureau of immigration in Lucena and Batangas city. You don't need to go to Manila.
I was thinking there could be an immigration office at Lucena City which is nearer than Manila?
