- I head to Eezi Awn for the next crucial stage in turning the Jimny into the ultimate Micro Overlanding Camper. A 270 Degree Awning is going to be the perfect companion to fend off the scorching South African sun on my future Overlanding trips! We also decided to put on a bigger Eezi Awn K9 Rack; to make room for future upgrades as well as get a bit more clearance on the roof for the table. I wonder whats next!?

Amasing idea for the Jimny !
That is absolutely fantastic. I don't think we've got anything like this in Australia. Not that I know of. These guys should come to Australia. They would capture the market unbelievably. Very nice indeed.
Hey Timur; they are in Australia already! :) you should get in touch with (east coast) AE4A.com.au and then (west coast) alanco.com.au
@@RoamOverlanding .Fantastic. I had no idea. Thank's heaps for the info. I'll be in touch with them next week.
Amazing 😉 looking forward to buy a jimny

If there is one channel where I want to see a proper decked up Jimmy, it's Roam Overlanding🤟💪 I'm taking all the cues for my upcoming Jimmy 🤟
Right on!
Love the vids! Awesome following the build and the trips are awesome. Top work
🤟🏻🤟🏻 thanks man!
Fantastico, very very nice 🇮🇹
Fantástico. 👍
Awesome dude 😍🔥
Just bought my jimny yesterday
Same color as yours as well

Roam Overlanding
Thanks mate!
Brilliant mate, love it! Looking forward to seeing how the new setup handles some offroad testing. 😀
Thanks mate! It should all be rock solid 👍🏻 Eezi Awn don’t mess around with their quality
Out of curiosity, what's the size of the new rack, plus how is your radio reception fairing now?
Camp out at YOUR Place! so dope
You’re invited bro 😁
Very nice 🇫🇷👍🏻
Is that 2 metre awning or 2.5 metre awning? Also, you might want to look into a shark fin antenna or buy the Japanese version as it folds downs. Otherwise it looks great, keep posting some more videos as I get my ideas from your build.
I love it. I wonder when the snorkel will be installed. Lol.😂😂🤙🤙🔥🔥
I just need someone local that makes snorkels 😂
Hope you do find one 🤙🤙
ow, this a cool thing
I think you should put a ligth bar in the space between the roof and the roofrack.
Love your vids and keep up the awesome work.
Thanks bud! 👏🏻
Super!
That Jimny is gonna end up with more equipment than a Mercedes Benz G Wagon.
Hahah! It might even weigh more 😂
Picked up my Jimny 3 weeks ago and loving it. One thing I am keeping a close eye on is GVM. Do you have any weight figures on your build so far?
I’m just going to say that when this build is done it’s going to be a lot. 😂
Oh, god, I can't find my jaw (((: This is amazing!..
😂😂
With all the weight you are adding, will there be a Suspension upgrade comming?
There will be a suspension upgrade coming indeed
This rig would look great with a tad more lift and bigger tires would also get the awning up a little higher.
Coming soon! 🤫
Hi there lucky RoadMan, What was the dimensions of your first roof rack? And could that one be raised higher from the jimny roof if needed?
Alexis Rave hey man! The previous rack was 1400x1650 and the current one is 1400x1800 I believe. You can lift either if you want to.
Are you happy that your shocks can handle all the additional weight and off balance that you are adding to the vehicle?cheers.
The current shocks are managing fine; but I will definitely be ramping up the suspension soon. But so far I’ll be honest adding weight to that side of the vehicle is going to help balance it out; I’m a heavy guy so I need some weight to oppose me a bit
very interesting is my question since long time but Suzuki can't tell me if the roof can handle like 200 kilo on the roof when well distributed through the gutters.
I think its a sensitive topic so no one wants to say anything for sure; but im going to do it anywys; so you will be able to see from my experiementation, and then make your own decision :P
@@RoamOverlanding Dank U, ik ben benieuwd :-)
I don’t even feel happy with putting 200kg on my Defender, I would hate to be in a situation with an overloaded Jimny. It might fit but realistically all the gear he is putting on is just for YT.
Holy shit im so putting this on my Jimny
Hahah 😂 make sure to get in touch with Eezi Awn!
Make the videos longer, more in depth, more detail. Show us you using the equipment.
I will do mate; The channel is getting there and growing, ill be heading out on a trip this weekend to film some camping content.
@@RoamOverlanding yes! I wish they sold Jimmy's in the USA!
i was at the dealer to day, there up to 3 years waiting time for one Jimny :-o
Oh damn! Thats crazy!
Where is 3 years waiting time? That's insane
With this extra weight on the roof does it not exceed the load rating and if so does it void your warranty?
Not too sure how 40kg on the roof will blown my engine up; so that doesn’t make sense, but I’ll dig into it for you 👍🏻
LOVE ;-)
Nice awning, but when it rains water would obviously seep through the gap.
What's the distance from the bottom of the awning to the floor? Looks like a tall guy would be banging his head.
I’m 6’1 and fit underneath the canvas parts without bending and have to duck my head abit when moving under the beams. I will also be doing a 2” lift soon; which will make a difference.
What is the size of that roof rack? I see they make a lot of different ones.
The size im using is the 1400x1850 :)
how do you go for weight? have you done a gvm upgrade?
No GVM upgrades available; however I will do doing updated coils and new shocks very soon.
What tyre size / rims size and lift did you get
So the awning can be held by any kind of roof rack?
prety much!
wow nice! What will happen to that old rack you got? send it to me here in Philippines man! plss... :)
Hahah! If only! The old rack will be given away in a competition here in South Africa
@@RoamOverlanding that is awesome! I wish i am there so I can join your team! :) Still waiting for the Jimny to arrive here this coming June... And please more epic adventure vid with the Jimnys whew!!!
I wish I could get out more on those epic trips! Thanks for encouragement!
Send me the previous roof-rack! LOL
Hahah! We are going to be giving it away here on South Africa 😋
@@RoamOverlanding😯 😕😄😄
You have great stuff in your country. Enjoy!!
Lekker
Чувак, где заказать такой зонтик?
I want this jimny but I don't think it's practical enough when you have two kids☹️
Its definitely more of a 2 person vehicle!
@@RoamOverlanding maybe when the kids are grown up worth the wait😁
Hahah :D I was going to recommend that :P
👍🏻
Oeps, sorry, you mentioned the 30 kg in this vid indeed
Please install a lift kit. 😁
Coming soon 🤓
For mine that awning is way to long for the Jimny.
