Yes, at the entrance to the queue you have the option of the soft cycle or the hard cycle depending on which line you enter.
I rode on this today and it was pretty cool. There are some decent g-forces involved for sure on the hardcore cycle.

You can go on the soft mode, it only goes up halfway.
