Oswald cannot die because of his insane luck (he is THE lucky rabbit, after) he aimed at his skull, yet somehow the bullet went to his eye(UL)/ went straight to the leakers(LMB)
The reason why Oswald had the purpose to shoot the gun at himself is because his his girlfriend Ortensia died, and I don’t know how she died, but then he had the insanity to go grab a gun, and then just go shoot himself
