I hate that good people get caught up in scams. I bet nobody scams the Mafia or the cartel. It's people that work hard, and wouldn't hurt a soul that get scammed.
Michelle, I am 77 and have been active my whole life in and out of construction, running (quit that 25 years ago) hiking, you name it. I live now with all the aches from past excessive physical labor. And now I have a mini-excavator to do the hard work. By noon I’m ok but you know what I’m talking about. So PLEASE, forget your pride or your time schedule and use all those wonderful machines you have. When we are young we are not bulletproof. Take it slow, use the machines. When you are in your 70’s and still an active person, you will be glad you did.
agree....worked with chain saws for most of my life....there wasn't anything physical I was scared of. I still am active however take many supplements and build sets for a theatre company building sets....I'm 72 and retired yet I have a lot of issues now.....had to stop playing my accordion 3 years ago because of a worn out rotator cuff. Rehab is slow at 72 however I'm back on track again and playing up to two hours a day....but yeah, your injuries creep up on you. Now i put in a 4-5 hour shift and I'm pretty much done.....used to work 14 hours a day climbing mountains and cutting underbrush with axes and chain saws. Michelle you are a physical specimen beyond compare....however we certainly aren't bullet proof.
I am so glad to see you wearing protection for you eyes, ears and breathing. You are a very good example to others. Where necessary a kneeling pad or knee pads will save those joints that could take 20 years to develop arthritis. Great advise to being extra cautious on dealing with internet crooks. You have saved hundreds of others the same pain.
Sharp and dull 14:47 🤣 had to stop the video for a moment to laugh! Poor Steve. It's really amazing what you've accomplished in the last few months! I also always admire your love for the dogs... so heartwarming! Keep it up ! I love your content so much 👍🏼 Greetings from Germany
Thank You, for being such a kind and caring person-some people would just put them down when things get tough. My pets always end up being family and treated with unconditional love and care as family and not just pets.
I SAY IT EVERYTIME I WATCH YOUR VIDEO'S "YOUR AN AMAZING WOMAN" YOU WORK MEN INTO THE GROUND, THEY COULDN'T KEEP UP WITH YOU. I LOVE WATCHING YOU. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK.
Rarely do I laugh out loud watching various creators. This one had me splitting my sides. The dull and sharp photos, then the full body log rolling show. Girls are so different! The comedy in your productions is greatly appreciated! ❤❤😂
Hi Michelle. You and your videos are by far the favorite videos I watch. Love ypur personnality and humor. Every video is always interesting and edoted to perfection. I am praying for Lennies outcome to be good. But he has you and Steves Love...he will be fine. Stay safe and happy. G
At least Lenny was able to open his eye again. Sad to hear about the glaucoma though I will send a payer up that leeny won't have to loose an eye. His little tail wag when you asked if he could do that was so sweet. It made me think that I bet that even though Lenny couldn't open his eyes he was still feeling loved by you and Steve and that was his way of letting you know that he loves that you two love him so much and are willing to do what it takes to humainly help him live his best life. You, Steve and your guys dogs and cat are so blessed to have each other. Oh and with you talking about not having a wood working shop to work on projects in the winter made me think that maybe building a shop for that purpose should be your next build. Question is where would be a good place for a shop?🤔 Thank you Michelle for sharing another video with us. May y'all have a good one. Have fun take care
All of us who played hockey do the 'sniff' test as we pulled out the equipment from the bag... It's a habit which is hard to break. SO pleased you are mentioning the battery-powered chainsaw in positive terms; Stihl, Greenworks, the brand doesn't matter, just that more folks begin to switch and use them! We've got an 'old-man' with health problems; our Aussie-shep is 13 now, (or 14, he was a rescue, and the shelter wasn't certain of his age) unfortunately, he's declining as well. Our mission is to make his days happy and safe for as long as possible. Batten down the equipment soon, Old Man winter comes quickly to the Koots. Cheers from a transplanted West Kootenay guy now in the Willamette Valley.
😢 yeah I hate it when things go wrong with our doggies😢 and learning he looks like a trooper😊 wagging his tail he's showing you he loves you❤ And now we get to see both of you picking up the boat another adventure❤😂 and again thank you for all your hard work 🇨🇦 getting your videos together😂😮😊
Hey, Michelle. I think it is impressive that were willing to admit that you got scammed. The bad guys are so good at making things seem legit. And what really sucks is they prey on older people, (which of course you are not). In my line of work with my regular job, I see it all the time. Thank you for presenting detailed information on the subject! Great job with the video!
Thank you. It’s definitely not something I’ve wanted to talk about - Steve and one other person are the only ones I told, except now everyone who will see this video. They were very good at what they were doing, and yes, it breaks my heart that the elderly get taken advantage of the most in these situations. I was very lucky.
Many people don't understand that we can love our doggies like our own children. We have two small dogs that we love.I hope yours pulls through okay Michysoss. All doggies deserve the best care we can get them and give them.Good Luck
Wish i had half of your energy Michy 😄 Hope Lenny recovers soon, look after yourself, pushing logs around can wait until you and Steve get back from overseas ✨👍💃🌲🌠🎉💫
Poor Lenny; Glaucoma, I have it my self, controlled through Laser treatment every 4yrs or so to keep the pressure down; and that is the key to keep the pressure down.. Brady sends his best for all the dogs, specially his favorite Clyde🥰
Michelle I’m like unCAcad and only 72. Worked sitting at a desk all my life, built my house, walked a lot, but when 25 intercepted a car who ran over the red light. This week going hospital for a heart operation so take care. Whatever you do, it is great.
So sorry to hear about Lenny. Good thing he’s got a great Momma to take care of him. Yes please let us know how he makes out. I’ve got a 12 in DeWalt electric saw. Love it too. Light weight and powerful for its size. Can’t beat them. Thanks for what you do and stay safe lady!
Given the hard-working, hands-on, outdoor-loving, dog-caring, up-for-anything Canadian lady you are, why am I not surprised you were/are also a great hockey player?!!
Hi Michelle, I am really spoiled watching your channel, I find you more entertaining than most tv programs, hope you come back soon, I’d love to see you finish your cliff side cabin!
Once again, I am waiting, desperately seeking to live vicariously through you on your seafaring journey. I can’t wait for you to start. I will be praying for Lenny.
... awwww! I feel so sorry for Lenny ...! Let's hope the best - I feel sad seeing him suffer! I am with you all! Greetings from Germany fromthe silver fox, David 😉💜🐕🦺🦊
Sorry to hear about Lenny. I pray that he does okay. I see you got you leg presses in moving that log. Stay young as long as you can. I loved working out when I was in my 20's and 30's. Now all I get in is a lot of walking with my dogs. One will be 15 in December and the other one will be 3 in Dec. Also sorry about the scam.
My heart aches for poor old Lenny. Mich, you have all the real estate you need, and all the raw materials you need right there. Build yourself a workshop, like Ryan at Ringworm has done. We'd love to watch you build that!
I really appreciate you being so open and honest, I know it is so hard to tell people that we have been taken. I have been taken more than once in my life, it is always personally embarrassing to me and very difficult to share with anyone. I am so sorry that this has happened to you.
Good morning Michelle, Previously I told u that the Stihl electric chainsaw would become a favorite for you. I have cut down trees a little smaller than the one you cut up on the ground with my battery saw. As I said before, it’s become my go to chainsaw, my Stihl MS 270 Farm Boss which I loved to use has become too heavy and hard for me to control safely at my age. I also carry chain bar oil and an extra battery when using my battery chainsaw, especially went Jeeping in the back country. I am so sorry that Lenny is having all of his problems, wish the best for him. Your channel is 1 of 3 of my favorite YT videos sites to watch to relax. With all these wars going on, it never ends.
So funny to see you do the “sniff check” on your gear as you go thorough the bag - I still play 3 times a week and my wife thinks I’m crazy for doing the same thing!! Love this channel and your independent spirit - keep it going! 🥅 🔨👍🏻
All I can say and do is prayers for Lenny. May the doctors come up with a solution to slow down this problem. And for you Beautiful, you have to be a vert powerful and strong lady, moving those heavy logs around. Your leg muscles must be powerful and big to handle everything you do daily. You are a Beautiful Wow Lady. Hugs and prayers from Santa Barbara. 💕🍷🌹😘🙏✝😇🤗
Hi Michelle. Nice job moving and milling those logs. You get right into and enjoy every challenge you undertake. Sorry to hear about Lenny. Even in all his pain, he still showed how happy he was to see you. He gives back all the love you give him. I hope he will be ok. 🙏🙏🙏
That cedar was beautiful....respirator with cedar... Poor Lenny...Im sorry for you all. Gone from the PNW for less than a month and I miss it so. Scammers suck. Blade identifier is quite creative...
Hi Michelle, Everyone. You can get that wood to glimmer like a showpiece using a super sharp/ "smoothing" hand plane. It doesn't take long. Nothing make wood sparkle like a hand plane with a super polished blade edge. The mirror finish on the apex gets transferred to the wood. No sandpaper will ever come close to the finish you get with a sharp plane. If you try it, you are gonna like it. It feels so good as it glides and slices. It's hard to stop once you get into it. Making shavings is so much fun. The idea is to use the fine abrasives on the plane blade and then the blade on the wood. It makes the wood come to life in insane ways. I have found myself staring at even pieces of humble construction lumber in awe after taking a paper thin shaving off to reveal the hidden luster of it's inner structure. Oiling it will take everything to another level. Ask and I can respond here with some detailed instructions on how to get the glimmer. Rob Cosman has lots of youtube vids on planing that would be way better at teaching than anything I can say. He taught me how to make a plane dance. There are lots of others. Paul Sellers, wood by wright.... You will need a half decent plane, don't impulse buy the cheapest one on ebay(or princess auto!!) and expect it to actually work as a tool. Ask me how I found that out, twice ;) Wooden body planes can be awesome and cheap but you have to learn to use them. I have one, don't use it as often. There's a learning curve. Busy bee tools has some that look nice, for all of us here in Canada. Haven't tried one yet.
I can only hope, should I ever require a caregiver, that i get someone as thoughtful n caring as you (two). I'll be sending Lenny some Good Vibrationzzz. Thanx for sharing. 💚
Michy I hate that our Government don’t crack down on these People more. Your mistake will make more people aware of these. That is awesome you played Hockey. What is your favorite Pro Hockey Team? You look awesome and keep stay in shape it helps us to stay in shape. Peace Girl.
You need to do the stationary bike when you get home from hockey (or any type of workout) to prevent lactic acid build up. I do it after hockey (10 minutes) works every time!
Watching Michelle "playing tug of war with logs" reminds me of something my mother used to say... that when I did what Michelle did, she said I was doing a lazy man's load... trying to do in one trip instead of two trips. Bad things often happen with a lazy an's load !
Beautiful property to just go out and get a log for your cool projects. Thanks for the scam warnings and best of luck with Lenny. Hope he is better soon.
Hey Michelle, Nice job on the wood milling! Can't believe how much energy you throw into everything! Well done! Such a shame about Lenny, poor little fella! Really wish his luck would improve with his health! Glad you and Steve are looking after him best as you can! Fingers crossed they can do something for his eyes! 🙏 Have a great week! 👍🏴🇬🇧
Don't feel alone, I came really close to being scammed myself. Hope and Pray, Lenny pulls through and heals quickly. Be Safe and Stay Strong my friends.
Michelle, I'll have to admit you do have unique ways of moving logs around. Several of your techniques I've never seen or tried before! Please keep us updated on Lenny. Hope you have a good week. Thanks for Sharing!
Loved the music while you were laying on the ground trying to move that log after chainsawing it.... Total comedy! Then you looked up at the camera like "OK what do I do now?"
The more you work on that bandsaw mill, the more you will like working with thicker slabs, 2, 3 and even 4-inch slabs of wood are truly amazing. You don't need a whole woodworking shop, but you do need a solid work bench, even an outdoor or covered one and a big slab can make that quite easy. I made a Shaker Moon bed out of some 4-inch slabs of elm and it took six months to do all by hand, but it was a lot of fun. I chain sawed the basic forms and then hand planed and chiseled out the tenons and mortices and got a top-of-the-line beauty rest mattress to go on top of it. It's one of my wife's favorite gifts. :)
Your work ethic is just like mine with all the physical labor. Working alone, you just have to do what you have to do. Only thing is, at 59, I sure can feel it by the end of the day! I see a building project in your future in the form of a woodworking shop! CARPE DIEM! The news at the end about Lenny was not as bad as I feared. That was a relief. He did look a lot better than earlier too. Hope everything with him will be okay.
The struggles with keeping your information safe is very tough. Thanks for sharing your story. Hope things go well with Lenny. The slabs are definitely very nice pieces! Looking forward to see what you do with those.
Your stock just skyrocketed knowing you play/played hockey hahaha. It is true there is a big difference between being in shape and hockey shape. Aside from cardio you use muscles you forgot you had. I always said there is nothing like a loose puck to push ya even if you have no gas left in the tank. I quit for 11 years, I stay in shape, run etc but man o man...core, thighs, shoulders, and butt came back to life in a hurry in the form of pain after jumping back into it for me. Couple of weeks of drop ins I joined beer league and everything comes back...even the scoring touch :) Safe sea travels for you, Steve and crew on bringing the boat home. Hurry back as I started watching your stuff because of the winter and mountain scenery and love to see more from this winter :)
I'm not a dog, cat, or any sort of animal lover that said I would never do any animal harm. I am most impressed with the love and care that both you and Steve give to your rescued animals. I am sure that vet fees, etc, must cost you both a small fortune, but it's obvious that you get the love and pleasure back from your dogs, well done, I admire you both.
Glad to hear that you do take the tension off of the blade when not using it. I'm a woodworking machine technician and I do recommend to my customers who have bandsaws that they back off the tension if they are not going to use the machine for a few days. While I don't think that you have to do so every day, it is a good habit to have if you don't know when the next time you are going to cut because you could forget that you left the blade tensioned and next thing you know a month has gone by and leaving that tension on for that long without running it can cause problems.
When you get back from your trip finish up your cabin on the mountain and when you get done build you a wood shop do you can do wood work love your videos keep them coming and be safe on trip God bless Michelle and Steve
Oh almost forgot,i have a greenworks cordless chainsaw,2nd one,i fill my oil in only half, mainly because the chain falls off if filled more, but from going to a 22 " blade to a 16" so much better,i wont go back to the gas oil one, love cordless. I can get 1/2 a cord donr with 1 battery pack.
I have a Stihl electric saw now. Bought it due to torn rotor cuff. Now it’s my favorite saw. Like you I was scammed also. Expensive lesson. They caught me when I was in Covid Fog!

By far my favorite thumbnail!!! If woodland mills would use this picture they would easily sell a million mills! ❤
Tons of things I’D LOVE TO SAY!!!
I’m just gonna stick with “WOW” just “WOW”!

I LOVE the Photo of you on the Saw Mill. Perfect♥♥♥♥♥
That last beam from the first log would make a beautiful, natural edge mantle

I too was scammed to the tune of 5000.00. Thought I could detect a scam, but they are so, so evil in their methods. You are not alone!
Pecky cedar makes some cool stuff. I remember 4x4s made from it.
Once again another amazing video. Your determination is inspiring ..
You need to do the stationary bike when you get home from hockey (or any type of workout) to prevent lactic acid build up. I do it after hockey (10 minutes) works every time!
Prayers for your sweet Lenny ❤🙏❤🙏❤
What a week.... Appreciate how positive you are and stay in the face of adversity..
Watching Michelle "playing tug of war with logs" reminds me of something my mother used to say... that when I did what Michelle did, she said I was doing a lazy man's load... trying to do in one trip instead of two trips. Bad things often happen with a lazy an's load
!
Great watching you enjoy your adventure so much.
Stay positive with your hurdles we all have them
Always love your work and videos , stay safe and careful . Please know we love y’all.
Beautiful property to just go out and get a log for your cool projects. Thanks for the scam warnings and best of luck with Lenny. Hope he is better soon.
Hey Michelle,
Nice job on the wood milling! Can't believe how much energy you throw into everything! Well done!
Such a shame about Lenny, poor little fella! Really wish his luck would improve with his health! Glad you and Steve are looking after him best as you can! Fingers crossed they can do something for his eyes! 🙏
Have a great week!
❤❤❤ to your boy Lenny. He looks like such a sweet soul.
I just love Clyde he reminds me of my 13 year old American Bulldog I rescued named Monti who loves to frolic around my cabin land 🥰
Be proud to admit it because you can help people learn good things Lenny
Wonderful video and great narration and explanation of the process!!
I'm really impressed with the way you seemingly can tackle anything.
Prayers for Lenny!
Beautiful looking wood! Yes internet and telephone scammers are taking over!
“Or can you?” Followed by the best music of the year. Also, time to build a shop next year.
Laughed out loud on the Dull and Sharp section of the shed. LOL. Fingers crossed for Lenny.
So special the fur babies. ❤
Love when you impersonate Matt Reisinger. "LET'S GET GOING " 😂
Hi Michelle, Steve, pups🐾hope you're doing well, have a great day, stay safe and take care my friends 🙏 God Bless
Appreciate you
🙏 for Lenny
Prayers for Lenny. Can’t wait to see what construction project you dream up for the slabs. You guys take care and be safe. Love you all.

Another satisfied user of Greenworks chainsaws (and all the other Greenworks tools as well.)
Let's make more converts!
I have a Stihl electric saw now. Bought it due to torn rotor cuff. Now it’s my favorite saw. Like you I was scammed also. Expensive lesson. They caught me when I was in Covid Fog!
Bless you both for your dedication to your rescue critters.
Nothing better than good wood
I don't comment often. But allways impressed with you and your husbands work ethic and skills. Thanks for sharing.
Good reminder about the scams !!! I had the same thing with apple!!! Thanks for the reminder and for the information on delete me!:))
You've brought it up to top notch when you get on top of it!
