Hey I’m a new viewer and I have a couple of questions. I started my wave journey this quarantine and today is my haircut appointment.
1). Should I wash product out of my waves and let dry before I go get my cut, or, does it not matter if I have residual product in my hair when I go get my cut?
2). Its been 6 weeks, I am seeing results. I have waves forming all over and I want to increase my connections but I know great connections come with longer hair, so I say that to say this. How do I communicate effectively with my barber? Like what are some key words I can use with him to let em know I want my hair at reasonable length so I can continue to develop my waves?
I have waved before in my late teens, early 20s, however from watching your videos I realized I wasn’t communicating effectively. I didn’t know what to say or how to articulate how I wanted my haircut. It would be VERY helpful if you created a video for kids/ or not so savvy regular customers like me on how to smartly ask for their cuts.

1. Please wash out any product. Clean hair is a must for the best cut.
2. Don't cut too low. Tell our barber you want a #2 or a #3, whatever. Your hair type will dictate what size you'll need. I have very curly hair and can get a #1 and my waves are still there, it's not the best look for me but I can do it. You have to figure out what looks best for you. If you have a thin crown,make sure you get it a guard size higher. Don't be afraid to talk to the barber, you are paying them!
