Sir.. Just a query and correct me if I am wrong in my logic... You used the final tone shaping EQ (API) to control the reverb +delay tone.. But it was added to the main Vocal track..According to the signal flow.. the final API equaliser will effect the main vocal tracks BEFORE it gets sent to the reverb and delay The reverb and delay are in the send and return track ... Wouldn't it be better to create a reverb and delay FX track and insert the last EQ control on the reverb and delay FX track itself and then dial in how much we want to mix in with the dry vocals??? I am sorry if my thinking is wrong... But can you elaborate on it?? Great video BTW... You explained the common processings and their usage without much fuss in a very clear way!!
I think there may have been a misunderstanding about what I explained in the video. TH-cam videos can sometimes be tricky because comprehension depends on the viewer’s perspective. The API I used in the tone-shaping section was intended to brighten the vocals, not to remove the lows of the reverb. If I had needed to remove the lows of the reverb, I would have applied a standard EQ on the reverb send, similar to what I did in the delay bus.

If someone can't differentiate between before and after changes, it because of your Headphone you using and TH-cam compression, best way to learn after these lesson is to do experiments in your DAWS.

However, it’s also important to note that some listeners may not have trained their ears enough to detect subtle differences in sound. If TH-cam compression had a significant impact, it would be hard for mix engineers like myself to notice changes in our own videos. Ultimately, the best way to improve your listening skills is to practice and experiment with different mixes in your DAW, as you’ve mentioned.
Sir...,kuch doubts hain...,vocals ke dynamics proper control nhi huye, vocals ki resonances bhi control nhi hain, harshness bhi control nhi hai, I think toneshaping se pehle aapko ye chije control krni chaiye thi
Harsh nahi hai...this is how the client wanted. many time we keep the vocals smooth but the client wants sharp and brother vocal ya koi bhi processing ke liye hume beech ka rasta lena hota hai jisme vocals ekdam dab bhi na jaye aur ekdam dynamic bhi na rahe aur ye har cheez pe apply hota hai. Example jab hum vocals ka dynamics even out kr rhe the toh wo squashed sound kr rha tha ..toh hume beech ka rasta lena hota hai ki squashed bhi na lage aur controlled bhi sound kare ! And resonance toh nahi hai vocals mein..

@@gpsingh5956 only pros knows that koi ek tareeka nhn hota everyone has different ways to do that ! Agar aap regular dekhte ho video toh bahut sari videos me aapne dekha hoga maine bataya hua hai ki kaha automation ki zarurat hoti hai compressor se pehle !
