Hi Sue! That was some adventure! A lot of Irish graveyards seem to be located at the end of country lanes. That's unusual here, where they tend to be on well-marked public roads. The mud on that track would have deterred a less determined TH-camr. I think the carving of the building on the headstones is a reference to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. 🇦🇺 🇮🇪

I'm so glad to have found someone who believes in signs too. Shortly after my Mother passed our sign that she was alright was to be a red bird called a cardinal. I didn't see or hear any cardinals and I was so disappointed so I got into my vehicle to drive away and then another vehicle pulled in front of me and on the back of their car was a sticker of a cardinal...She must have tried really hard to get that to happen and it made my heart sing. I miss and love my Mother she was a great lady. Thank you both for traipsing through all that foliage to get your vlogs you must be exhausted. ❤

Overgrown though it may be, it most certainly lends a certain air of beauty and mystery to that old burial ground. It is truly a marvelous little cemetery and the craftsmanship on some of those stones is really something to see. Thank you so very much for trudging through the mud and muck to share this with us.
On another perhaps odd note, (which I hope isn't taken in any offensive manner) if that man behind you is indeed Irish Eyes (Cemetery Guy) one should tell him that he should show his face on his videos. The truth is that many people enjoy seeing the faces of those presenting and good looking people (for better or worse) tend to get more views. He certainly is a handsome fellow and I truly believe that his channel will take off if he just speaks into the camera a few times.
Keep up the good work! I'm loving your content Sue! Be well and be blessed!

Thank you so much Sue and Irish eyes for clearing those headstones, plus walking through all that mud. It's sad that this graveyard has Been left to decay, there is possibly an outline of the old church that burned down somewhere under all that undergrowth. It us important to retain the history of the rebellion and the battle of Vinegar hill. You mentioned a mass grave, it woukd be good to see sime final recognition if these people. You did your best as you always do, the headstones were absolutely beautiful in design. They have now nit been forgotten. 'A feather, a Robin and butterfly too, are all reminders that the Angels are with you'. Bless you Sue 💕🇦🇺

We have graveyards here lost to nature but not like in Ireland because we're a relative new country..i am scottish and cherokee(native american) and they find indian burial grounds all over ...there was one found in north carolina believe to to dated 8,000 years...indians buried their dead in mounds. So i really so love seeing the church ruins that go back over a 1000 years and graveyards that go back hundreds of years. The beautiful stonework and the love so put into for their loved ones.
