Jumping across fantasy genres and playing every role from a psychopathic bad guy to a schizophrenic cop, this shapeshifting actor seems to have done it all. After 23 years in showbiz - with 17 years of non-stop grinding since his breakout role in rom-com drama My Girl in 2005 - that hunger for growth still burns bright. “Many things happened from that time until now, there were times where I was happy, other times I was frustrated,” he says. “But to be able to steadily move forward and remain consistent is real growth.”

Just watched The Nine Tailed drama last nite. Cried few times at the ending. First watched him as the Grim reaper & then the Psychopath dentist in Strangers from hell..I'm in love with his acting & down to earth personality. He & Ji Chang Wook are my favourite actors. I would love to see him play a psychological drama too. A drama that take place in a mental hospital. He's doing psychopath/insane person roles really well. My favorite scene from bad and crazy is when suyeol is in mental hospital. Also his role in strangers from hell is ✨✨

I just watched Bad and Crazy and looked up the actor. He was wonderful in this Kdrama. I am going to watch the other dramas he has worked on. He and Ji Chang Wook are my favorites. Easy on the eyes and great actors. I think he has just become number one in my book.

Ever since watching Strangers From Hell, I've been hoping he'd play a vampire in a unique Korean version, not the same old western vampire. I didn't know him before that show, and it's my favorite. His pale skin, naturally red plump lips, penetrating eyes... LDW was created for that role. Somebody please write a vampire script for him!
