- On my way from school, I spotted two of TTC's brand new electric buses training at Kennedy station around 12:30 PM today! Built and delivered this year, one is New Flyer XE40 Xcelsior CHARGE NG 6000 and the second one is Nova Bus LFSe+ 6601. For a week, these two eBuses along with a reference bus from the current fleet (3714), have been undergoing a 2 week head to head range test before they enter service sometime this Fall. They were shadowing route 34 Eglinton East when I spotted them.
These buses are two of 340 battery-electric buses scheduled to replace a group of older Orion VII hybrid buses from the late 2000s-early 2010s as a part of TTC's goal to convert the fleet to zero-emissions. Currently, they are based at Arrow garage but it is not known if they will enter service from there or elsewhere. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more of them on the road as time goes by!

Same here!
can't wait to sit on a electric Nova Bus
@@canadianvasiliy Only a few agencies in Canada use them. It’ll be interesting as we’re next in line.
Nice video! I so excited to see these buses in service soon!
Same here!
Awesome
Can't wait to see the brand new electric bus
Same
I spotted those same buses too
Both 6000 and 6601 are based out of Arrow
Crazyyy 🔥🔥🔥
Nice hope i get to ride them soon
This IS INCREDIBLE
I SAW THOSE ON EGLINTON
nice catch man!
So these will replace all of the NGS?
It’s very likely
@@AlexGetsAroundTO k
You guys are lucky to be getting electric New Flyers. All we're getting is stupid novas
I got the regular XDE40 tho
I’m hoping Birchmount and eglinton gets both these novas and xe40’s need more buses w chargers on those routes
Birchmount will get some of the New Flyers while Arrow and Eglinton will recieve some of the Novas. TTC also said work is underway to install chargers at those garages as well as McNicoll.
@@AlexGetsAroundTOok bett would love to see these novas on the 56 before the 51 replaces that route for good.
i think those new buses might be out of mount dennis division replacing the orion ogs and ng hevs
They are already electric buses at mount dennis
Very unlikely. Birchmount will get some of the New Flyers while Arrow and Eglinton will recieve some of the Novas.
@@AlexGetsAroundTO maybe to queensway since it's most likely to face a bus shortage soon
@@EthanKizito-dj7ff To reiterate, Queensway can not recieve new buses due to their clearence height. It is the smallest bus garage in the city, no room for them or chargers.
@@AlexGetsAroundTO thanks for the info. Keep up the good work
2:01 Its Birchmount Division or smth
Birchmount will get some of the New Flyers while Arrow and Eglinton will recieve some of the Novas.
@@AlexGetsAroundTO FANTASTIC I AM REALLY EXCITED FOR THE LFSE+ TO COME TO MY HOME ROUTE
First
Why did they use 3714?
I have no idea
So the false prophets arrived in Toronto
