Just remember, for it to igfa, (if you ever want to claim a big number fish one day, Angler must remove the rod from the gunwall straight after the bite, you can't wind in the gunwall and claim a record, it must be removed! The fish probably came close to the surface within the fist 20 minutes or so, then headed back down right? That's what I've heard they do
They tend to race up and then stay up within a few hundred metres of the surface from our experience
how's the typical survivorship on these guys if you want to release?
this was one was obviously buggered but we sat tagged one the next days and it has survived
