He speaks from personal experience.
I don’t know what. A rouge is and Lin to afraid to ask
Aren’t these the dudes that Daniel & Rex worked with?
Hey brian, I'm not trying to imply anything buuuut you guys should do a modern rogue episode on self styling of hair or self haircuts
Why buy that when I can just dislocate my thumb?
I love how whenever the MR team are interviewing they really set the table for the interview to win. They don't try to out do or out funny but they just celebrate the guest they have. I have zero interest in wine making. However, I'll watch an MR interview just because I enjoy the art of the conversation.
Love how Brian is asking all the right leading questions and the "Wow, really, I had no idea..."
A seasoned presenter. Went to Scam School, so to say.
7:13 Chris: "And you've changed too. Your preferences have changed"
Brian's hair: "No kidding"
Brian looked like a very hairy child stood talking to his teacher
Today I learned that Brian is only 5'6. Could've sworn his was much taller!
i couldn't stop looking at the height difference XD
@@Fribee83 I think we were deceived by the old hair. Those spikes made him 6'4 easy! :-)
with Brian's hair we need "the Modern Rogue learns the way of the samurai".
Ngl a bushido episode would be fun with Brian and Jason
#BringBackTheSpikes
Cory looked so happy to be dealing with real Wine this time rather than the filth the Rogues usually force upon him.
🙊 Toilet wine
i feel sorry for brian. he must've had a stiff neck after looking up for a whole day
Haha he’s short. Edit: I get it! He’s short!
Every single video you guys produce is always 100% exciting to watch!
Keep it up guys !
Could you guys do an episode on life hacks for anxiety/getting your body out of fight or flight mode? In Hacking the System Brian had tips for nailing a job interview, that was brilliant. For instance the power posing to reduce nerves. Side note I always close my interviews with “Is there any reason you wouldn’t hire me?” and each time the interviewer says that’s a great question, and they’ve never heard anyone ask it before. Freaking brilliant.
I second this! Calmness in the face of fear has to be a trait of any rogue, modern or otherwise.
Third!
I found a list way back when about impressive questions to ask an employer and it's never failed me when I had to go in for an interview. What's scary for me is the trail by fire and I've managed 2 of those so far so idk
@@danielr3310 Yes! Definitely feels a trait a rogue must have
Wow these guys were awesome. I am not a wine guy at all, but they were great.
Really impressed that they went through this whole episode and no one said terroir.
Day 2 of asking the rouges how to get away with murder and clean up a crime scene ..: for a friend
There's a small corner of Wyoming in Yellowstone where you can technically get away with murder
I mean they've already done an episode on how to get rid of a body with lye...
@@dirtwagon9041 and they did an episode on bloodstain pattern analysis, in which they said more blood makes it much more difficult... and an episode on how to improvise carrying a body... and they have many episodes on homemade weapons...
Sorry Travis but you gotta remember! 0:06
@@mrmacguff1n the section of land you are talking about is actually in Idaho. That’s where the issue comes from is because Yellowstone is a federal district and a jury must be selected from the federal district and the state in which the crime was committed. This little loophole is caused by the fact that there are no residents of idaho that also live in the Yellowstone federal district.
I'm surprised you guys didn't ask about why the concrete barrels.
They breath like wood, but don't add a special flavor (ceramics work too). And they are egg shaped so that the fermentation process automatically mixes the contents of the barrel.
Mainly used for white wine where I'm from.
Well from some other episodes they already know that barrels impart flavor in aging it makes sense they could reason that concrete would be a more neutral "barrel" and impart much less flavor allowing the wine and its grapes to truly shine
I never realised how much of a tiny little baby man Brian is.
Your next adventure should be to Texas Hill Country Olive Oil Co. in Johnson City for cold pressed olive oil and balsamic vinegar. You have never had a great dessert until you've drizzled some of their traditional balsamic vinegar over a big bowl of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla. Really miss that since we moved to Colorado.
Day 16 of reminding the Modern Rogue to do another radio video!
Have they done a foxhunting? That’d be good content. Body blocking and yagi and stuff.
@@manselreed4191 that would be awesome! Even if KI6NAZ couldn't make it out to Texas, I'm sure there are Hams who'd help 'em out
Brian your estatic all the time and it's amazing.
Currently studying for my Sommelier Exam. Great episode.
Awesome! Thanks!
I'm not a wine fan (probably cause I haven't found the right one) but this has given me an appreciation for wine. Thanx TMR
Day ten of me asking them to bring back "Cause I'm a modern rooooooooooooogggggggguuuuuuuuuueeeeeeeee" in the intro
So glad you referenced Wine Folly! Madeline is such an amazing resource for wine lovers of all levels. :)
It took me more than a minute to realize that Jason was not in this episode
I think Jason doesn't drink anymore so he's in the alcohol related episodes less.
@@BingoBangoBabyInc that would make sense, pretty sure he'd be on the "Colorado Roadtrip" episode lol
Still though, kinda messed up to realize how much of a background character Jason is even though he does actually have some funny/witty insights.
@@shizo1932 Jason is my favorite though 😔 I think Brian does the talking but Jason turns it into entertainment.
@@laughoutloud7844 that makes alot of sense actually. i'd even go as far as saying that Jason is the driving force and spirit behind the Modern Rogue as a concept. I mean, if you removed Jason from the equation you'd probably just get ScamSchool again (PS: no hate though i love scamschool
Did we ever find out why Jason stopped drinking? no hate, just genuine curiosity!
I always thought it was because Jason was the designated driver
I have no idea, also have we figured out what happened to Jason in general?
I wonder if he is a recovering alcoholic. Even when they used to make those coctails with Trevor, Brian was the only one tasting them. Not that it really is our business, good for him on quitting if this truly is the case.
I'm not sure he had a problem because he use to taste them. He did the whiskey episode, just off the top of my head
@@Ege100100 Yea but then there was the episodes with the Beerists where Jason drank
Perfect timing. I'm taking my boy for his 21st birthday to Austin at the end of April for Texas wine and whiskey tasting.
Honestly, no meme. No sarcasm.
Brian, you look great this episode.
This was an episode for Chris. Good for him. He's a good boy.
You need to do a coffee episode at some point. The flavours can be more complex and varied than wine, though it comes more from the actual growing of the fruit.
have enjoyed the last couple of episodes really cool showing how the stuffs made
I'm still waiting for that follow-up on the mead episode...
They kinda did a follow up to the mead in the mead cocktail episode. They tried their mead at the end of that
@@finnhanke oh right on thanks. i’ll have to go check it out.
Day 1 of reminding them to do another episode with homemade pepper spray.
They should put it in the landmine they made.
Chill bro, it has only been 2 months since the homemade pepper spray video. Don't overdo what works.
Step 1) Make wine
Step 2) take dregs from wine, and distill in a stone basin in the ground
Step 3) repeat distilling 2 more times
Step 4) You've made Tsikoudia, a traditional Greek desert drink! The italian version is grappa, and the turkish version is raki. Tsikoudia is extremely delicious
Been waiting for an episode on wine
This was very educational.
bow arrow stuck backwards on intro shot - priceless!
Should do an episode about mead. There are a lot of meaderys that you can probably get into this. I’ve been making mead (honey wine) for awhile now.
They made one a while back.
Loved this ep
You need a MR button that has An MRscream and Bryan’s laugh. Also a assorted Jasonism’s
Nice one, thanks fella's.
Love Cory's intro: "resident adult"
You know it's going to be a classy episode when brian hair is up in a tie-tie
19:36 I felt at that point Brian almost slipped in a Domain.com ad speak inside of an unrelated ad speak xP
This day will forever be know as the day Brian meet an real actual giant.
These videos are a testament to watching Brian's hair growth
Brian asking the important questions here because I've been drinking wine for decades and I've gone on many a winery tour and listened to many vintners talk about the craft but never learned as much as I did in this video.
Ah damn it! I bought a delicious bottle of wine in Tuscany 14 years ago, and have kept it all this time in anticipation of the perfect moment to open it. This video has shattered the grand illusion and I suspect I have an old and expensive bottle of vinegar on my hands XD
Rip
Those guys are huge!
Grew up on natural food!
Subscribed to the channel to watch a couple of jackasses do science adjacent shenanigans. Stayed for Brian and Cory doing dry "dad interest" topics that you'd see on PBS on a Saturday afternoon.
I think the next things you guys should do are Jerky and pemmican. Jerky is obvious and I'm rather surprised you guys haven't done it yet. Pemmican Is an amazing survival food that was apparently used as emergency rations in the world wars. it can be plain meat and tallow. but I wanna see you guys flavour it with berrys and whatever else you can come up with.
I've got to say, Brian is asking some good questions
I never liked talking about wine, because I didn't thing there's a way to do so without sounding like a wanker.
After having watched this video, I still hold that belief.
15:03 really weird hearing my hometown lol
Is it just me, or does anyone else aspire to attain Cory's title of 'Resident Adult'?
I'd even settle for feeling like an adult, lol.
Brian- “the best is yest to come”
Munson sent root cuttings but they were from the state of Missouri, based on the work of Charles Valentine Riley, Missouri’s state entomologist.
The best is yest to come
As a Mazer, when are you doing mead?
Mr Van Driessen takes a field trip to a vineyard
At 10:53 blue shirt guy with laser eyed cat.
That banana thing really pisses me off, not only is it my favorite fruit 🍌 but my favorite candy flavor, the day that I learned that super sweet candy banana taste was the actual taste of an extinct banana species I was and still am DEVASTATED
it's not completely extinct, but I doubt you can find it anywhere
after Covid19, i would be amused to se Brian go to France to visit Epernay or Reims to learn about Champagne :)
(and i would definetly come to say hi)
Gary Lazer-eyes!
My question is if the owner of then place is really tall, or if Brian is really short
Brian, 1990 called, it wants it’s hairstyle back.
Fantastic
It's called The Gardener stare when you step back and you look and then you notice thing going wrong faster and doing things better next time.
Is that the Texas version of Jay and Silent Bob?
god i need a drink
Jason looks different
I feel sorry for both Brian and Brian’s neck
This was some pretty good Kevin Smith cosplay but it needs more jorts.
I love the modern rogue but brian does sound a little bit like Dennis from its always sunny doing a podcast when he asks questions
knew a good portion of this alraedy actually, guess happens when you uncle owns a winery
Oxygen feeds the fermentation? I thought oxygen caused vinegar instead of wine. When I ferment at home I use air locks to keep oxygen out.
Brian’s edc?
Is Brian a short lad, or do they breed giants in Texas?
Both
I never realized that Brian is only 5' tall...
What... I'm 5'3 so I'm taller than brian?
These are the same folks that Rex and Daniel went to so they could fix that one barrel of whiskey they were aging, right?
Yep
Okay, so a red is fermented in the skin, and a white goes straight to the crusher, and a rosé is a red grape that goes straight to the crusher like a white. But what do you get if you ferment a white in the skin, like a red?
Looks like I'm about to disappear down the Google rabbit hole
Something I’ll never enjoy is looking at a painting Picasso is a gangster but art is to high brow for me and I think for Bryan too lmao
Cool video
Lesson one Brian, grown ups wear shows !
"Resident Adult" XD
Waiting
You've covered a lot of alcohol, but what if my roguish drink of choice is tea?
Brian looks like a hobit compared to everyone else XD
hehe, brian is smol
Every wine I've tried simply tastes like expired grape juice
Did anybody else feel that this was an episode of Sasquatch versus Hobbit
wow Jason you look really different in this video.
COFFEE EPISODE WHEN
I'd love it if they could arrange a collaboration with James Hoffman for a coffee episode.
Dude how tall is that guy
Wine is one of those things surrounding which the subjectivity is so high that it breaches into pretension.
Now granted there are some wines whose awfulness could be attested by any human being. Tastes like acrid vinegar. Anything moderately good is ok and the rest is labelling and price fixing.
I miss Jason, is he ok?
Another comment mentioned he stopped drinking. Idk if this is true but he hasn't been in the ones involving alcohol so that would make sense. Good for him if has made that decision, ik that can't be easy
@@benrosenberg3489 correct
@@cranfill Hey Cory, we need an episode with Macaulay Culkin again. The chemistry between all three of them is amazing. He really could be the third rogue.
@@benrosenberg3489 Another episode with Mac would be great!
We are still waiting for the Scooby-Doo episode
make your own wine then make your own whiskey aged in the wine barrel
Ok I’m going back through the last videos to find out what has happened to Jason. Why is Jason not in this video?
I wish you showed the tasting. What the experience was. sad you cut it out.
Next episode! 🤠
This is the video on how wine is made, Next video will most likely be the tasting of wine.
Where is jason? Two episodes and no murphy.
Will be back soon. 👍
3 videos without Jason???
He will be back soon 🤠
@@cranfill Good to hear mate (not knocking your contributions of course!!)
