When he is riding those skin boards on the waves it is surfing, finless surfing, basically its like riding an Alaias which is a traditional finless Hawaiian surfboard from pre-20th century that has become popular again, in part because of people surfing waves with skinboards.

I like skateboarding and watching surfing but I prefer skim boarding and bodyboarding just because im inexperienced in swimming so I get to enjoy the beach and have fun riding waves without having to worry about drowning.
