    Hi!
    I’ve just had my first loading dose of Cimzia today & no pain. Thank you so much for your videos showing the use of the pre-filled pen. I felt certain I’d be okay but just watching you inject put me at ease.
    The videos you’ve posted are a few years old….any chance of an update? It would be great to know you’re okay & have your pain under control.

      Fatigue truly is the worst part for me. It’s debilitating, I’m really glad the Cimzia has helped a tone with it. I’m sorry you have been suffering with AS , I would love to build a community for people like us , who want to understand it better , any advice or ideas are greatly welcomed !!

      Jes Hojsan that’s a great idea, AS is getting more common now I’m finding

      Jes Hojsan how long have you been on it now ? Will you stay on this now ?

    • @jes44444
      @jes44444  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve been on Cimzia now for 2 months , still a short amount to time , I was told to give it 16 weeks to see if I’m getting the full effects . But as of now if I don’t have any more side effects, I will likely stay on it . It’s an shot every 2 weeks which I like, I found biologics that I take once a month just don’t work for me

    I didn’t see that you tried pinching the skin here? Have you tried injecting when some skin is pinched? I’ve had Hyrimoz (humira bio-similar) which hurt a lot but I was told not to pinch the skin. When I was given humira I was told to pinch the skin which helped a lot, injections were painless. Neither of those worked for my psoriatic arthritis and I may now be moving onto cimzia.

      That’s a great tip! I’ve always wondered if it would help if I pinched some skin, I’m moving onto weekly injections so I will give that a try this week and see if it helps! Thank you ! I hope Cimzia can be the biologic that helps you!

    I've been on it for 3 months now. No longer have joint pain. I do get a large amount of headaches though and I started developing a 2 rashes on my neck about 3 inches in diameter. Just reported it my doc today.

    Yikes this is scary. I'm starting this next week for the first time. I tried Humera which worked for a year then quit and Enbrel never worked. I had an insane reaction after quitting. I'm so scared to take biologics after this but my skin is getting so bad amd painful. I have two small kids and I'm so scared taking this. Does it hurt?

    Hi, quick question : did you ever get sun allergies since you started? if yes, any tips, sunscreen? my doctor has been heavy on the need of sunscreen and no sun with the injections... thank you so much!

    Hi, can I ask why you inject on the side of your leg? When I started cimzia a while ago now I was told to inject on the top of my thigh. Just curious

    I didnt know it comes in a pen form. I get mine in a syringe and inject at an angle. You must live in the UK or Canada becuase they dont supply that in the states

      I’m so glad !! I find it really hit or miss for pain! My last injection was completely fine but the one before that hurt , my very first one I hardly felt ! I try and leave my pen out for at LEASTan hour before to warm up and I find that helps a lot . I also try and do mine right out of the bath or shower as your a little more relaxed and I find that helps too

    These meds are awesome... Trust me you don't want the alternative 😃 even if it takes a bit to get what works best for you. As for me I got on Humira when it was approved for AS and these medication's gave me a new life. .. I am switching to cimzia now ... Good luck.

    May I ask if you are located in the US? I’m pregnant and my RA is now acting up so this is the only medication I can be on but everything I’m seeing shows it’s a prefilled syringe, not an auto pen. I would much prefer the pen lol

      My doctor is considered putting me on this or methotrexate... I've only seen the syringe for this as well... And I don't know if I can do it, but I think I could do a pen.

    • @jes44444
      @jes44444  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I am in Canada ! I’m sorry your RA is acting up! Where I am I had the option of the syringe or the pen( I don’t see why they even make the syringe if they make a pen lol) maybe if you contact your Cimzia contact they will be able to get you the pen? Congratulations on your pregnancy !

    Hi 👋 quick question : did you have a reaction on the injection site ? Like redness and burn sensation ? ✌️🙂

    • @jes44444
      @jes44444  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! I did have injection site reactions, I could see the area under my skin where the liquid was sitting , it was raised and red, and then turned white for a week. But it didn’t itch or burn, if you haven’t tried already , try leaving your pen or syringe out in room temperature air for at least an hour beforehand ( and if you are experiencing itching contact your dr !) I’ve read taking Benadryl before injection helps with minor irritation

    My nurse said to put on a bandaid after the shot so it will push some of the medicine that escaped back in through your skin. :)

      If your using the same injection that she is using the last click hold easy gently after it has finished for 10 seconds and always rotate the injection left right tummy left right vent top front of top of your leg and make sure it’s not to cold
