@@peterscott1498 yes! I definitely had some frustration in how I was playing and hitting it. Good coaches are the best as they can listen and then get you back on track. Then we just have to listen back 😅
Good luck in China Brandon. I’ve known Liam for quite a few years and it’s great to see him getting the recognition he deserves from a quality player like yourself. Looking forward to him fixing me on the 24th. 🎉
This was gold for me. I've been working on and off on a very similar transition move with only limited success. I now realise that when I'm struggling I'm not getting off the ball at all. Good luck for the rest of the year
Great video... It crossed my mind at 28:33 when you said, "when I'm not on" you should go back and record one of your tournament swings where you hit a bad shot and do the same for a great shot. Do a split screen and freeze both swings at where you see the difference and point them out to us. We cannot see a good swing from a bad one (because the action is so quick), we only see the result... it would be fantastic to see on a split screen where things when wrong in the swing vs where they go correct side by side.
Really good to see a long format lesson, also great to see ya playing some amazing competeitve golf in the second half of the season. Hopefully catch up with you in Qatar when you're over here again!
Loved this! Just did a screen recording and slowed down some of these monster swings. You look so powerful getting down into those irons. Just awesome to watch 👌
Truly the best content and swing coaching Thx!...now I have to put in the work. Dude if it's possible to put on the screen what club you're hitting it would help me choose the proper club when I practice ...thanks for the awesomesause from pickurbutt productions!! haha
Great content Brandon. Just can you clarify when the hands are thrown at the ground, is there a conscious feeling of delaying this from the top? Good luck in China
Brandon, Congratulations on getting on the DP Tour. When you started working with Liam what were your goals for the season? You have had a really good run since hooking up with Liam did you expect things to go as well as they have when you first started working with him? Over a year ago on this upload Podium Finish 🏆 Behind The Scenes On Tour - Scottish Open @DPWorldTour I wrote I like his swing there are bits of his swing that are not unlike Cameron Champ's, his sit down in transition is very much like Champ's where he hip hinges correctly pushing his back side back , not many players do that.. He looks a very tidy player that has the potential to break through to the main tour , he just needs to keep doing what he is doing and keep his form going and it may well happen. .and you replied . Thanks for the support. Appreciate the in depth analysis. IT MAY WELL HAPPEN 👊🏽👊🏽 It turned out to be a good prediction. I think another goal for you now is getting inside the top 100 and I can see you doing it I can also see you winning next year and finishing high up the leader board.
Brandon, You are playing well despite this training you are doing with Liam being new. Do you have an off season period with no tournaments coming up where you can focus fully on getting these new movements in ? Once you get all this in you where it is your go to habit you are going to go up several levels where it looks to me getting into the top 100 is a realistic possibility. Although the training is working getting these changes in while playing tournaments is not the ideal way of bedding in new movements.
@@johnhue8933 I started working with Liam on Tuesday of the Irish challenge. Finished 3rd. Worked again with him the next week at the tournament on Tuesday Wednesday. Won. Had him on the bag at the Czech masters. Finished 6th. I think ‘working’ on this doesn’t necessarily mean you aren’t going to play well. It’s a great way sometimes to switch focus on to process and trying to get better. I also still had a lot of focus on other areas of my game.
For all those who think you need teaching… you don’t you need practice. Just look up Calvin peete. He was self taught, started late, had a disabled arm, and was the most accurate player of all time
@ that’s a childish response but ok, so for start, learning from trial and error will teach us how to adjust and tweak our swing naturally, not try and fit our swing to what works for our coach. Second it’s an extreme simplification but take tiger woods, he was winnings everything, gets a new couch to keep improving, then can’t nail the new style and lost his old style making him struggle physically and mentally. And finally like I said Calvin Peete lead the pga for ten years in accuracy, his peak of 84% of fairways hit through a season is still unmatched in the modern game. Calvin was self taught and came over the top and had a bent lead arm (since it never healed after breaking it) and he stated golf at age 23 and beat the legend Jack Nicklaus
Class content BRT, was lucky to watch you get a win at Machynys last year. We were the boys that went for a Nando’s break halfway through 🤣 came back to watch you win it on the last with a chip in eagle
No mate every department of the game is important. How do you get to 150 if you don't know how to. If ball striking and body movement is not efficient. Every part cannot do without the other.
@@RohitRaghavendraGuruBakshi hitting for show, putting for doe is perfect here. If you cant do it round and on greens, theres no point of becoming pro, im sorry to be brutally honest. 25/30 handicappers can hit it straight and true, if you are decent player like brandon is and your getting lessons on ball striking, theres something wrong, as he can strike it so well
