PV always brings their A game for SU for some reason. I honestly think they play to other bands potential. They’re a damn good band, they just need to play to their potential and battle. I’m a Juke fan, but I do like PV.

But I was there in person and all ima say is during that 5th quarter, I heard some ppl next to PV saying “we came all this way for that?” Didn’t play Genesis at least one time the whole game. Didn’t even bother to crank on Southern as they were leaving. It was definitely better and a lot of improvement over the 5th with txsu
This is the only video that has balanced audio. Check the comments on videos from other channels and Southern fans swear it wasn’t close and PV sounded terrible. I was there, it was a great battle!
I was there and from SU side you could hardly hear PV, but this video made a difference with the sound balance....on-site it didn't seem like much of a battle.

Facts. They are not balanced. su is a larger version of txsu which r tubas, Euphos, and hint of trumpets. When it's time for su to play details they drop off but when it raps tunes, they r loud and ppl don't hear the mistakes bcuz of how loud they play but sure su beat jsu. Not. Didn't Jsu run thru SU with that lucky day song now su has it in their book. If they had that song last week and it's better than Jsu, why not play it back 🤔
Trumpets was the staple in Southern band for many years last couple of years that fell off it seems like the arrangers don’t even write tones featuring the trumpets

Yes bro, I don’t know what’s up with my homies ear this year; he usually gets it right or kinda close. PV has alot of cleaning up to do and so does SU. JSU has the most cohesive sound this year although they have a few minor adjustments too.
Southern has gotten away from that sound that made them unique Southern is not southern without trumpets, they not the same, euphos are over powering the band , they don’t have that balance where every section is heard together but still loud and the arrangements that set them apart from every other band but I think that’s because of Haymer and definitely Brian but hopefully they get back to the trumpets being the most heard section again
I'll take Boom's Lucky Daye over SUs. And let me say this. Even when Boom didnt have a lot of trumpets, you could still hear their part. I couldnt even hear the trumpet part on Motown Philly. This battle actually should have went to PV. First rpund should have went to PV and the last round was a tie.

Really wasn't feeling That Thing or Motown Philly and not really sure why SU loves to play one song that goes on too long. At least one round was mid from both bands. Maybe this was a toss up. Song selection and a little bit of execution kept PV from being the winner
The jukebox need better song selection, their songs or two empty in long. That Motown Philly straight trash. They need to go back to the drawing board with their arrangements.
