You can use clear glass to determine if the moisture was 100 percent evaporated during drying. Just put the glass on the surface of the sample and see if the glass has a moisture if no moisture it means the aggregates are 100 percent dry.
Wouldn’t you divide the weight of the water by the weight of the wet aggregate? Then you have a direct measure of the percentage of water when you weigh the wet aggregate when pulling aggregate for a pour?
