This interview was uploaded exactly 1 year ago. Today (Sept 4 2017) Jerry´s sadly gone, he will always be remembered, there will NEVER be another one like him. R.I.P. Jerry, and THANK YOU for all the wonderful legacy you left behind. You will ALWAYS be remembered.......
Thanks for all of the laughs, unless you’re one of the many many women he sexually assaulted and or raped because he was full of himself and his stardom. I grew up thinking he was a wholesome innocent clown. He was far from it. He was a rapist.
Jerry and Dean hadn't talked for years. But when Dean's son died, Jerry showed up, seated in the last row not trying to bring attention to himself. That's humility.
Sorry but nonsense, because they split up on 1956, and they got a reunion and started to talk in 1976. Dean's son died on 1987. By that time, they had already been talking to each other.
GL History Well, that may or may not be so, but to the general public at the time they were still estranged (or at least not as close as they had been in the past), and Jerry realised that his appearance at Dean Paul’s funeral could easily have become a media frenzy if he had been spotted, and encroached on Dean’s and the families grief. That is why he did it in such a low-key way. I think that is what Dean appreciated, not only that Jerry had come to the funeral but that he didn’t push himself forward to give the photographers a field day, ( you can just imagine the headlines; ‘Dean and Jerry re-united in grief’) but respected their privacy on such a traumatic occasion.
I was born as a result of my father going over to my mother and acting like Jerry Lewis.. That's how my father overcame his shyness with approaching my mother so that they could meet and be happily married. Then I came along.
Jerry Lewis got me through a really bad time when I was 13. That was in '78. I was extremely sick and in hospital for 55 days. His movies made me laugh so hard, I almost split my stitches.

It will be a sorry sorry day when Jerry is taken away from us. We lost so many great stars in 2016. It breaks my heart every time. I'm so happy that Jerry is still with us.

Haven't watched it since.he left because I'm 99% sure he was a victim of corporate politics. Thank you Jerry for all the laughs and fun and may you make it to 100. :-)
I saw that when I was much younger also--and I think that's when I became a permanent fan. It was SO funny when he (in the movie) went to "The Hungry Brain" where the beatniks were. (Remember them--in the '50's?) I loved the dance he did with the woman beatnik in the club. He also was bawling when she was singing her silly, nonsense, "beatnik" song--"cuckoo!!...." And was telling his date, the lovely actress Joan Blackman (who also acted with Elvis)--he told her "This is very sad...." Then he started crying in his classic, crazy "Jerry Lewis" way---was so funnny--and so classic Jerry!!!
He who is willing to put his life down for others will also by the power of Jesus Christ lift there life up again. Love never dies, not in our hearts. I love ya Jerry. Thanks for all the time of smiles you brought my way.
Damn, if only I could look this good at 90. Jerry Lewis had his distractors, he was tough, and a total perfectionist. But he was also a genius, a comic icon, a hero to millions, and a film innovator for all time. Without him, the world would be a sadder place. God bless.

Jerry was truly a brilliant, tough, driven perfectionist. he also had a heart for suffering children. Most everyone agrees he was the top clown-comedian of all time. He was also a very complex person.

I was glad to watch this interview with Jerry Lewis. What a great humanitarian, selfless, and always ready to give of himself for the betterment of humanity. He's a great comedian, actor, writer, director, and film maker; though unable to walk and do the pratfalls for which he was known, he still is endowed with a keen mind and still ready to entertain us. Jerry and Deans' lives were parallel; each had been married twice and each tragically lost a son. They were truly a dynamic duo who entertained millions of people. Here's wishing Jerry Lewis good health and the ability to continue to work for fulfillment of his dreams to 120 years. Thank you, Jerry Lewis for being the person you are. We love you.

@pac401 Certainly it served his own interests more than those kids
OMG, he was so sweet! Such a wonderful, kind, and tender man. His eyes looked still very young. He always had the same haircut and lots of hair! A talented, genius, gorgeous-looking man with a heart as big as the Universe! You wanted to live 4 or 5 more years! :( Men like you should live a longer life! I love you with all my heart Jer . I hope you found peace wherever you are !
Are you one of Jerry's Kids?
A true icon. A real one of a kind.
I've always loved Jerry Lewis he was such a great comedian they always have me laughing Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin there are great with each.
Rest in peace Jerry you were a big part of my childhood thank you for being the biggest angel in my life I love you man
Mr. Lewis I have loved your movies, and the movies you made with Mr. Martin every since I was a little girl. And I enjoyed you in black and white and I loved you in color TV. I must say it's Nice to see your still out there making people laugh. Happy birthday day Jerry 😂😉😂😉😂😉😂😉😂
I love him so much!
Hi I am 74 now when I was a kid I loved Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin films a bit slapstick but very funny.
Sick of hearing negative comments about this man. If you look at many famous people in all walks of the arts, you`ll see a-holes. So what? We don`t live with them. We appreciate them for what we know them for. Jerry made me laugh hard when I was a kid and I still think he`s hilarious. Fame brings demons. Who cares. Just laugh and enjoy. Jees! Love you Jerry.
will always love him
you go Jerry.. glad to see you...!
Jerry Lewis is the best I'm glad he's living a long life I don't know how much longer we will have with him ....I know he's going to miss his wife and young daughter, his movies are really some of the funniest out there!
@T. Williams ,maybe they deserved nothing .Jerry never neglected his second wife and daughter.how come?
Dean has been married three times and divorced three times. Catherine Hawn (s. 1973-1976), Jeanne Biegger (s. 1949-1973), Elizabeth Anne McDonal (s. 1941-1949).
Jerry has been married twice, divorced once.
Patti and Sam.
Jerry has definitely mellowed but he's still Jerry and that's a great thing!
One of the only comedians from that day who get me really laughing.....love his comedy. His telethons were a labor day staple for our family. We would camp out in front of the tv and watch the totals.
Jerry Lewis was clearly and unmistakably one of the greatest entertainers of the 20th Century. He and Red Skelton were THE TWO TOP CLOWNS America ever produced. but Jerry was surely the most driven GENIUS of comedy. a truly amazing life and talent.
I agree. tremendous talent......all while disowning the kids.
20.8.0217 R.I.P. Jerry Lewis du bleibst für immer in unseren Herzen - you ever in our heart, i miss you :-(
