Sir Jun
This is bloody amazing, great arrangement and super video, one of the best Zep videos on the net.
why is your comment there in every rock music related video lol
What can you say? This guy did his homework, and it really shows, Jimmy's genius, and for once that's the right word.
This is the greatest cover of Jimmy Page's best guitar song. Amazing
Its hard to rank the Led songs. They all have such great guitar. But this is definitely top 10.
A serious amount of work and effort went into this great rendition/analysis of the original tune. It's a great upload.
Page...just leaps and bounds, songwriting-wise, ahead of any other rock guitarist.
@@gsxrkz The famous engineer Eddie Kramer worked on some of Zeppelin's albums as well as Jimi Hendrix.........and Eddie once said in an interview, quote: "Jimmy Page was literally a perfectionist, but sometimes, he played a little sloppy. Often times, he played sloppy on purpose. But of those times when Page was "ON", NOBODY could touch him"......END QUOTE.
@@kingzriot976 That interview with Eddie Kramer was from the early to mid 90's, in one of the guitar player magazines. Sorry, no video.
gsxrkz yeah I’ve seen that one Jimmy always does the finger tapping thing on the heartbreaker solo
Watching you play “Achilles Last Stand” note for note clearly demonstrates why Jimmy was the man and till today so many guitarist look at him as one of the greatest of all time. Thanks to you and thanks to Jimmy.
In the 1970s, I was just a kid hold up in my room spinning these records from start to finish in awe of what I was hearing. Even as an awkward adolescent I knew it was great music. In my my mind's eye I'd try imagine what the guitar player must have been doing to get those sounds. Today, sitting in front of this 21st century technology, I get to see - up close - just how much work went into the composition. Thanks so much for posting this. The precision is a sight to behold. What a gift!
I saw Zeppelin last show in the USA 7/24/77 Oakland Ca. I can still see Jimmy/Bozo going at it!!! Brilliant track!!!!✌️
Discovered Page and Zeppelin in 1975 as a 14 year old boy when Physical Grafitti came out. Then came Presence. Then I started buying all of Zeps earlier stuff. My life changed forever after learning and listening to Page's masterpieces.
Not only is this an awesome cover, but it truly makes me appreciate Jimmy Page's brilliance that much more! Great job!
Seriously? 30 dislikes? Whether you like Zep or not, this is the greatest cover I have ever heard for a song. And it only makes sense it would be Led Zeppelin's best song.
It is their best song. Jimmy said it was his favorite song to create and to play. And he said it it was their best
All the dislikes are the people who watch ramper room and sesame street
This was absolutely. Phenomenal. My all time Favorite Led Zeppelin Song (and Jimmy Page's too). Your phrasing and note bends were spot-on. You even played the Double & Triple Tracked harmony Guitar parts. One of the best things I have ever watched on You Tube. Very Impressive !!!
Before watching this, I was like "come ooooonnn nobody can do Achilles like Jimmy !"... And... That was... perfect, magical, mystical, wonderful, incredible and I don't have enough words to express what I really feel while watching your cover. Thank you for this amazing cover of Achilles, my favourite song of all times !
I've known Jimmy was a genius all my life, but actually seeing what he put into his songs is just amazing! I didn't think it was possible, but I'm going to have to move Page up to yet even another higher level, talk about genius. and you did nail it my man. Great work, great work.
There's no other guy in this world who made such a vibrant, honest and pure tribute to this amazing song as Jun did. It's by far the most closest as you can get of the original by Page. l believe if Page himself stumble upon this video he'll cry a tear of joy. As l just did,
If Jimmy ever needed to relearn it - This would be his reference.
John Evans he’s 74 years old, sadly I also think he does need to relearn most of his stuff. stairway in 2007 was not the best...for all we know he doesn’t have too much time left with us. Years and years are passing bye and it’s sad to seem him age.
Spiral Architect shut the fuck up. what kind of psychopath do you think I am to think I am god? fuck you! all I was saying is that since he’s 75 already then it’s probably most likely his minds not going to work as it used to therefore he will probably forget some of his songs and not play as good as he once did.
Glimour's old and his second solo of comfortably numb at Pompeii was the most beautiful thing I've heard in 10's.
I assume you're joking, this player has terrible rhythm...plzzzz, someone get a metronome!!
Can’t underestimate the drummer RIP adding another great dimension to this performance.
Flawless. Tone, note, feel. Like I'm listening to the LP I bought when it came out.
Presence in general is an extremely underrated album. Great rendition of an epic arrangement!
His songs never sounded the same. Lots of chords variations and his solos were all unique and fit the song perfectly. He had an intuitive genius for composition.
Jimmy songwriting skills are amazing
I'm pretty sure this Jun guy is actually jimmy page. we can't actually see his face in any of these covers.. btw come to Canada and join my band
p.s. the solo is just brilliantly tortured; one can almost hear the heroin pouring out...
Scott Waszak I imagine the same thing when I listen to Tea For One. It sounds as if Page is in pain, his guitar playing becomes an extension of himself and it mirrors his soul.
This is the all time best guitar cover on youtube. incredibly accurate. It just doesn't get any better!
Jun626 really gives guitarists a clear, perfect, note-for-note presentation to play this exactly as was done in the studio. The level of precision and accuracy is astonishing! Additionally, Jun626 pays close attention to tone, effects, and his videos are very professional! Really appreciate you sharing this Jun626!
It really is frustrating that this level of talent is completely absent from today's music. That was near-perfect! Wicked Tele, and is that an Epi at the beginning? Oh, and LOL, I agree with Diogo, THAT'S the reason his face is hidden! xD
Yeah man I hear ya. Sucks to see what garners the most watched on the 'tube. Oh well. Least this dude rocks it. I dig the tele as well. It's rare I encounter one that's a sunburst like this dude's. Most I see are solid color paint variations.
You know, when I think about it, I only know one person IRL that has a sunburst Tele. Any others I've seen have been solid colour variations, just like you said. Odd. Speaking of which, my uncle is interested in grabbing a sunburst Tele for around $1000-ish this summer, as long as the quality isn't complete garbage, of course.
But yeah, it's a little depressing when you look at the top viewed music videos, I'm right there with you. Thank god for people like this guy. :D
Yeah funny how the tele just kind of skips the whole sunburst thing. On note of talent... dude a while back I found some killer fingerstyle ragtime. Check out Richard Smith- The Cascades, Scott Joplin. The guy crushes it. Piano was my foremost instrument (and still is). The song was murder on that instrument- kills my wrists pretty fast at full speed. Making it work on 6 strings is just ape to me.
People can shred and sweep but they can't get the tone, emotional, the bend and the vibrato. This has it all. True musician!
There are some rock bands that are decent out there today . Rival sons Royal blood, the struts , the warning, the trio of sisters from Monterrey. Motion Device from Canada. Sounds blasphemous but even Greta van fleet ye they sound like Zeppelin but im still a fan.
HEAVY and without a power chord or un-ending distortion to be seen.
Page was a genius at all aspects of music, using melody, harmony and rhythm.
To me Jimmy Page is absolutely unique in the way he has written songs including the melodie/solo parts. This, Jun626, is one of the greatest tributes I´ve ever listened to (same as your Heartbreaker solo). Keep it up and upload more of your material!
R.I.P. Bonzo
I watch your vids "the song remains the same" and "the rain song" all the time. Your impeccable charismatic playing style is timeless.
All the nuances, phrasing, sound, the whole production, four instruments in one song! Guitar, Keyboards, Bass, and Drums. The tempos are exact, and now I see this "masterpiece!"
Amazing work✌️
Jun626 where the hell are you!?!? It's been years since you've released a video! Your fans wants you back!!!!
Impeccable timing, perfect bends, and tone that is without peer, fantastic job.
I must also give thanks to he who is the creator, Jimmy Page, praise him with great praise.
I always thought only Page's version could give me chills, well Jun did it too!
Remarkably perfect! Like watching Jimmy's gifted fingers up close.
Just really outstanding.
"Bad ass man.. have spent many of time trying to learn this tune, you got it down!" ✌
Jimmy Page should shake your hand!!!
It was an April morning when they told us we should go
And as I turned to you, you smiled at me
How could we say no?
With all the fun to have, to live the dreams we always had
Whoa, the songs to sing when we at last return again
Sending off a glancing kiss to those who claim they know
Below the streets that steam and hiss
The devil is in his hole
Oh to sail away to sandy lands and other days
Oh to touch the dream, hides inside and never seen
Into the sun the south the north, at last the birds have flown
The shackles of commitments fell in pieces on the ground
Oh to ride the wind, to tread the air above the din
Oh to laugh aloud, dancing as we fought the crowd
To seek the man whose pointing hand
The giant step unfolds
To guide us from the curving path
That turns our feet to stone
If one bell should ring in celebration for a king
So fast the heart should beat as proud the head with heavy feet
Days went by when you and I bathed in eternal summer's glow
As far away and distant our mutual child did grow
Oh the sweet refrain soothes the soul and calms the pain
Oh Albion remains, sleeping now to rise again
Wondering and wandering
What place to rest the search
The mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the earth
The mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the earth
From the earth
I know the way, know the way, know the way, know the way
Oh the mighty arms of Atlas hold the heavens from the earth
THIS is the best guitar solo of all time. Not stairway to heaven.
that lead is the most moving so soulful
By far the best cover of Achilles' Last Stand on youtube.
My friend thank you so so much for your great playing and teaching!!!! you are my hero only behind Jimmy :-) God bless!
OUT OF THIS WORLD AWESOME !!! Great Work! Page couldn't do it any better.
Kade Morgan wasn't saying a thing about Jimmy. Was referring to the video not the playing.
A proclamation to rock and roll. An epic solo is an understatement. It describes a battle between man and himself, with mere string plucking.
Holy fucking flying cows poop bro. Epic video
This is my favorite Zeppelin song bar none...
That was amazing. You could be in a Zepp tribute band with those skills.
Greatest Zeppelin masterpiece covered damn near to perfection. Mad skillz!
Legit.As.Fuck
A wonderful rendition of the original. It made my spine tingle. Thank you for doing it justice!!
this is a flawlesss cover ,complete with the "laboured" guitar solo. This song is about the Seige of Masadars in 70 AD in Isrealv. The Guitar solo represents the building(and rebuilding) ofthe seige ramp by the Jewish captives and the "battereing " drums represent the ballista stones hitting the malls of the pallace. The vocals repersent the narrative of events inside the pallace.
Even wearing the flower Page Shirt!!!!
Fantastic Cover.. One of the best covers I have ever heard
What a masterpiece. You get a PHD for this one jun. Cheers!
my fav song of zepp, just awesome!!
*****
I got the chills!
Best cover of a song I have ever heard. So punchy and powerful...it's modernized and heavier. The mix is incredible every instrumental cuts through...and the dual guitar at 3;02 brutal madness. My favorite Led Zep song and you blew it up.
Thank God for ears!
This is honestly played so well. Hella props to you good sir
So true to the original
Blown away. Realizing the effort and skill it took to learn each of these parts and then play flawlessly...is amazing. I think the true testimony is grasping how complex each layer of Page's guitar parts were, and the ability to create and arrange. Jun626: amazing guitarist...probably can play anything. awesome!
HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY JIMMY!!!!!:D:D OUR FAMILY SANG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
That was totally kick ass. I liked the cut arrangement showcasing the different riffs. Its not just playing the notes, its how they get played, with the right amount of bend or timing that makes it sound great. Timing was good and Backing Track rhythm and drums was programmed nicely.
Come on Jimmy, Show u your face!
Amazing you have this solo down note for note excellent job I think Jimmy would be proud
Jun626 play slower, I see smoke coming from your guitars.
I've been playing guitar for 40 years as a rhythm guitarist. Jun626 taught me how to play this with this video. Thank you.
Jimmy Page, o melhor de todos...
From 2:53 to the 3:00 mark is my favorite guitar part of all time and a lick I use in my own warm ups. Well executed!
Don't try this at home.
I've always thought this song was an epic masterpiece and you just absolutely slayed it. BRAVO !!
How did Jimmy do this with one guitar?
I mean certainly on the record he used multiple guitar tracks but there are videos of him playing this live where he pretty much just focuses on the main parts.
Wow... I haven't seen one rendition of this song that is soooo close to the original. Thanks for this true masterpiece!
How can people say Jimmy Hendrix is the greatest when Paige is responsible for this masterpiece.
Awesome job on one of our favorite Zeppelin song's
Wow, very good. So obviously you sold your soul to the devil too right? Right.
Dude you slaughtered this, the ending plucking always gives me chills hand down the most beautiful ending to a song with a guitar ever
Probably the coolest intro and outro I’ve ever heard. Put those on a loop and I could listen to them, for hours. Fantastic job!
Jun 626 You are brilliant!!! It sounds so good!!! and it easy to see what you are playing, thank you for such an amazing videos, I just want to pick my guitar and learn the licks and parts I didn't have clear. It's pure Zeppelin!!
And the production for this video in particular is perfect!!!
All I’m gonna say is god damn. That album has always been my favorite -such power throughout and lyrics are insane. You my friend are gifted beyond belief-someone passed your info on TH-cam to me and I’m glad I stopped by. Keep playing and posting and best of luck in all your endeavors
I have followed you for years. One of the best technical players I have seen. Everything is correct to the albums. Love it.
This is seriously the greatest cover.
I absolutely love your playing! Sounds very similar to recording and also very comfortable angle to learn this songs from your videos) Thank you for this
Pure TALENT.
Excellent homage and playing to Zeppelin...awesome.
Because I'm not so sure Jimmy could even play it this good anymore. Amazing job, Jun plus 5 stars for sure, wish I could give ya more.
JUN, Thank You for ALL of your music. Born a Led Head, I go to your renditions to learn properly, great playing, Thanks again !
Well done! I’m not gonna say Kashmir is an overplayed song, I still love to listen to it. But in terms of epic Zep masterpieces, this is #1 for me. Also, shout out to In My Time of Dying, also absolutely epic. Would love to see you cover that.
I second that too.
Itd be amazing to watch all of the instruments in a single video. This song is epic!
wow, very well done. It sounded just like the album , all of the guitar parts Sounded Amazing, great camera video footage. This for sharing, This is my favorite led zeppelin song ,,,
I was there for classic rock...from Beatles to late 70s/early hair 80s...THIS is the culmination of all that was learned into ONE song.
Awesome jun!
By far my favorite Zep tune. :)
Absolutely amazing, and very well done!!
Wow! Unreal! I'm here because Tom Bukovac recommended you on his latest Homeskoolin' vid.
it's great to see the song played this close and with such quality..
Man you should have shown your face! How do we know this isn’t Jimmy Page playing this. Got Page’s pitch and tone down to a tee. Almost note for note the way it is on the studio recording. Outstanding performance!
that riff is something, amazing. definitely appropriate for space flight. if i were to send a song to space. it would definitely be this amazing song
This is perfect. All the technichal, the tone and soul. lots of times one is lost. Not here.
Been playing guitar for 30+ years and am a big Zep fan, and brother- you ROCK! Very sweet work indeed. Keep it up!
Achilles Last Stand has absolutely one of best guitar solos ever recorded IMHO, and this is an amazing facsimile thereof... awesome job!
Oh yeah well done once again- love playing this as well. Really good job! 🎸🌿🧘🏼🙏
Really nicely done! I will enjoy listening to and watching this again and again. Thank you.
This, Kashmir and Stairway are Page's 3 true masterpieces.
Then there's Since I've been loving you, Tea for One... about 50 more haha
Please don’t ever forget 10 years gone....please please don’t forget this one cause so many have and I think it’s a mortal sin and people may need to go to their local church for a confession
@@johnlo1966 ten years gone is one of their best songs ever but it doesnt get recognised. the whole album physical grafiti is their best in my opinion
@@tw_bomb5517 I feel like I enjoy Led 3, 4 and Houses of the Holy better. But its really hard to rank them, because they're all TOP NOTCH albums and each has a good number of bangers, including their first, which is pretty impressive if you ask me. Consistently great albums. 👍
