Aside from the awful miss to Kraft in the endzone, Jordan Love was great. Some plays he made in the 2nd half were crazy. And 3rd straight game without an INT. Silver lining from this game I guess.
The silver lining is the game really came down to luck vs a team that’s a superbowl favorite. And that’s when the defense played pretty terribly. Basically came down to whether or not the refs felt like blowing a whistle.
I've been saying since mid-last season that Reed is the Packers version of Amon Ra St. Brown or Deebo Samuel or DJ Moore. They need to find a way to get the ball in his hands more often. Early in the year he was the only receiver that you could tell they were drawing up plays to get him the ball. It's weird they are getting away from that. Watson is the deep threat, Doubs is the possession guy, Kraft is the short security blanket, Reed needs to be the quick, middle of the field, when you need a first down slot guy and it seems like they are never looking his way or trying to get him the ball on 3rd down.
This was still a win for us. I wasn’t expecting to beat the lions. I just wanted to meet the level of competition. We did that, this team can compete with any team in this league.
Yea we forsure can we definitely need to find a way to get the linebackers to cover there middle area better to stop the pass it's crazy 37 out 40passes complete in the middle over two games
That wasn't even the Lions real defense though.. like everyone was out.. they were 2nd in defense going into that game vs the Packers and I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with any of the defensive line guys that played that game for them, besides ZaDarius Smith and McNeil.. but HE left in the game,.. they had 18 guys on IR, of those guys of them are from the defense.. I'd take anything that was done on offense that game with a grain of salt, if we wanna be honest..🤷 Their defense is by far scary and probably the best win fully healthy..
I initially thought Meyers played terribly this game allowing those A gap pressures. Until I saw Kurt Benkert’s point. On some key downs, the play calls got in too slow, offense was not set early enough, and the Lions DT lined up right in Meyers’ face without offside. By the time the ball needed to get snapped, the defenders all knew it because the play clock was about to expire. That allowed DT to time it perfectly and Meyers had no chance. Not saying Meyers played well. Things like that had been holding packers back for being just a good team but not a great team
Josh had a bad game yes but if you look at the film (we were using silent count because we were in Detroit) we were very slow getting people in and out, and calling in plays so when they do silent count one (one second on the clock) and he has his head looking back to time up the snap for the motion as soon as he makes any movement the defenders go. It dose not help that they were line up in the netual zone all game as well. Go watch Benkurts video he goes more into it. So its not all on Josh.
How does one receive a 0.0 pass blocking grade?! I feel like you would have to allow pass rush to get through on every snap to achieve a 0.0 pass blocking grade 😳
Credit to the Lions game plan. Myers is the O line weak link and McDuffie is the defenses weak link. They relentlessly attacked both and we didn’t have much of an answer especially on defense. Our secondary and Cooper need to get healthy and Gute will need to heavily invest in the CB room next draft/offseason
And o line and d line and linebacker the middle of the field was wide open all game, and when we switched to cover the middle, they killed us on the edges. It's time we rethink how modern football is played. Game situations have changed if you have a strong line on both sides. Our opponents play madden style as we prepare for traditional situational play calling.
I’m gonna take this opportunity to go full Bas. I don’t know why the Packers keep Eric Stokes in the building. The Commander’s just released their DB, who was only in his second year, and I’m sure his play couldn’t have been any worse than Stokes. Stokes needs to be gone. Promote Kalen King, and go from there. King can’t be any worse than Stokes.
You can’t trade one of the most expensive CBS in the league who can’t stay healthy for a stud DT. Unless one of the idiotic franchises in the league wants to prove us wrong.
Myers was getting moved because of Matt Lafleur not getting the plays in on time to run through silent counts so everyone in the stadium knows when the ball is going to be snapped at 1 sec left on the play clock happens all the time same when Rodgers was here myers had no chance all game especially on third down because of inadequate coaching. this is a huge problem. please address on your show. thanks for the great content. this should be Matt La Fleur 0.00.
The C Meyers inadequacy p'sses me off! Esp after Gutes bragged that Thom was a future HOF center! Ugh. Put Monk in there n you'd see stout blocking! Ugh ugh ugh!
Here are the metrics that we gained from the GB Packers (1) They have still only beat 1 team this season above .500. (2) They are just a third-place team, but very competitive for a young group. (3) Detroit owns GB and has swept them 6 out of 7 games. (4) Detroit beat them last night with greeters from Walmart and some construction barrels off of I-94 on defense. (5) Jordan Love has thrown 50% of his TD's passes in the past two games to the Lions.
This comment is sadly.. comedy gold. Greeters from Walmart.. I-94 construction barrels. Dan Campbell was the the bully on the playground.. Packers coaching melted like the wicked witch of the west..

Dontayvion Wicks caught 4 passes, averaged 2.72 yards per route run and forced a missed tackles. Zach Tom allowed a sack and had a false start penalty, but he was the team’s highest-graded run blocker. Chris Brooks was excellent over 3-pass blocking opportunities and also had a hard-earned 1st down on the ground. Kenny Clark produced a team-high and season-high of 6 stops, plus a hurry as a pass-rusher. Keisean Nixon intercepted a pass, broke up a pass and made 10 tackles without a miss. Arron Mosby had a hurry and a run stop. Devonte Wyatt produced a quarterback hit and 2 run stops. Lukas Van Ness had a hurry and a run stop. Josh Meyers gave up 2 pressures and earned the worst pass-blocking grade of 0.0 of his entire NFL career. Ben Sims gave up a pressure as an inline blocker and was poor as a run blocker over 10 snaps. Jayden Reed had a drop and didn’t have a catch or touch over 25 snaps. Christian Watson had 4 catches for 114 yards but struggled as a run blocker, drew a critical OPI penalty and lost a fumble. Javon Bullard gave up 3 catches including 2 for 3rd-down conversions and earned the defense’s lowest run defense grade. Colby Wooden made an impressive 3rd-down stop but otherwise didn’t impact the game as a pass-rusher. TJ Slaton didn’t have a single pressure over 25 pass-rushing snaps. Brenton Cox didn’t have a pressure and struggled against the run. Karl Brooks nearly blew up a run play but didn’t have a pressure or a run stop. Brandon McManus made his only field goal and all 4 field points, while Daniel Whelan put 2 punts inside the 20-yard line. Jordan Love had 2 big-time throws and 0 turnover-worthy plays overall while averaging 11.6 yards per attempt from clean pockets and 11.5 yards per attempt while being blitzed. He connected on 4-of-6 passes thrown over 10 yards in the air for 126 yards and a touchdown. The Detroit Lions had Jordan Love under pressure on 9 of 24 dropbacks, or 37.5%. Jayden Reed had the lone drop, and Jordan Love scrambled 3 times. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛
The data clearly state that the Defense must get to Goff and at least hurry him. This is definitive. On every pass play. Packers needs to be using very aggressive man coverage and blitz every play. Goff will win nearly every play that the rush doesn't get to him. I agree with the no talk just go out there and produce. WOW, a 0 for Myers pass blocking. It’s hard to blitz and man up when our best coverage guys are hurt and Nixon gets pushed to a spot he isn’t best at and Stokes has to get used as a #1/2 CB. The numbers show when our secondary was healthy Hafley was blitzing at a higher rate. You can’t do that when you can’t count on your guys to cover. And because McDuffie is bad in coverage Hafley used him as a blitzer bcuz dropping him instead of Walker is a coverage liability but McDuffie isn’t fast so he isn’t a difficult blitz pickup. Our defense needs to get healthy

As much as I think our LB's aren't quite their skill wise, it can't be just that surely? Seems like the coaching is either being missed or not understood. Also why have we not seen Ty'ron Hopper, if you are getting perfect completion against every LB in coverage, and TD's scored on you, what more have you got to lose? Please respond to the video Kurt Benkert posted about Detroit lining up over the center and blowing up every single attempt at pass protection because the Packers run the play clock down to 0 too often.
