I attended the Drogheda Festival way back in the 90's with Flora MacNeil, her daughter Maggie, Màiri Smith from Lewis and we just loved these boys. I have to say especially Fran McPhail. There's something about a tenor!
Had the pleasure of seeing these boys( The Voice Squad ) live back in the early 1990s, just remember the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end for the whole show, thanks for sharing.
Had the great pleasure of meeting Phil Callery in Schull in the 1990s. Lovely man and beautiful music... sessions at the late great Fergus O’Farrell’s house. Memories are made of this!
Those guys are stunning. I still have an old tape from the 80s that first introduced me to their music and it's still as mesmerising now as it was back in the day. But looking at this clip I never realised that Anton Chigurh was a member... ;O)
