I have the GREENLIGHT 2010 GT 500 in navy, it really is a good addition to my collection of 1/18s. The exterior and interior is of the highest quality.
Great video comparison! I'm more of a 1/64 collector, but I love Shelby Collectibles and am in awe of their attention to detail! I need to get me one of the 2013 GT500!
I got the MB SL63 AMG by Maisto for my Dad, and I saw what you were talking about (the inaccurate rims). But last I recently went to a car meet-up and there was a SL550. It had the same rims as the model car (including the connected spokes). So I think Maisto did make the correctly.
I would say Greenlight has a slight edge on shelby collectables. Both have well designed exterior details, but greenlight really ups the interior detail. They usually feature carpeting, felt seatbelts, and fully colored buttons unlike shelby collectables.
I really dont understand why they skipped out on putting raised windows on the newer 2013 model compared to the older 2010 that already came with them.
The Shelby has better detail than the viper (except the interior). It also is better made with regards to the wheels, lights, and metalwork. On the other hand, the SRT is a beautiful car to look at. It really is a matter of preference. Muscle car or supercar?
Yes, there is a version with the rims attached, but it is not standard with the AMG models. Unlike the SL550, the newer SL63 should have the spokes separated. I actually saw these rims on an SLS once.
allright thanks, i really want that 013 red one you have but i hate it when you have 2 different factories making the same car and one of them is like 0.2 inch longer or wider XD i had that with Bburago a lot in the past and also a Hotwheels 69 Charger wich is clearly almost and inch shorter than an ERTL 69 Charger... it doesnt look nice side by side you know :x
I personally don't see this worth the price as if right now they are retailing at $40.00+ meanwhile a greenlight 2010 mustang gt is $25.00, I will be purchasing the greenlight mustang to add to my collection only because of the quality. I watched your review on it and was blown away by the interior which is one of the most important aspects of a model car in my opinion.
The Greenlight mustang is certainly superior to the Shelby collectables. At the time, there was no Greenlight Gt500. There now is and I totally agree that it is a better deal.
Very Nice Cars. Yeah, I'm trying to get my own fleet of Mustangs and Shelbys. I just purchased a 2008 Shelby Gt500 off of EBay and its a sharp looking car. Have you seen the 2013 Boss 302 models?
Great!!!!! The problem with the black stripes that you have in the 2013 is as same as mine. When I first cleaned it I scratched it a little in the front. But you can barely see it. I had this car two years ago but it still squeaky clean!!!

Very informative review, I will be ordering the 2010 GT500 in the navy colour. Looks very slick and well detailed.
Greenlight most certainly. I have a review of a greenlight Mustang GT and you can see the difference.
My favorite model is for sure the ricko escalade
