It's not often that I get to throw my leg over a custom-built bike for a First Ride. It's even less often that it's a custom bike that my team and I built. After a FAR too long downtime, the Bobber from Wrecked Bike Rebuild season 03 FINALLY gets the First Ride that it deserves. For those that haven't seen Season 03 I highly recommend it. We take this 2012 Yamaha Vstar 1300 from a wrecked and bagged cruiser and transform it into this monster of a bobber. Not a SINGLE piece of this motorcycle hasn't been touch or modified and we absolutely love the way it turned out.

Congrats, enjoy that beast. Now remember with a bike like that you have to ride way more defensive then you ever had to. Chaseontwowheels, some sad news today if you know Cycle Cruza, his grandmother meant everything to him and sadly she just past away so I was just hoping you can spread some love and support over to his youtube channel and give him a shout out I think that would really mean a lot. Mika K. Yeah that’s like my only complaint with the look of bike! It needs a round headlight with the bucket painted blue! Would complete the look! The led lights they used look like a cheap solution. Bike came out amazing though!

I'm more interested in where the zx10r went, that was my favorite bike you have done by far.
I went from a sport bike to a vstar 650 bobber one time it was a bad ass stance and seating position also. Zipping around town was lit!
Idle sounds quieter because there is only a small amount of fuel going into the engine, so smaller explosion. When you open up the throttle, especially when accelerating, there's a much louder and bigger explosion because of the large of fuel being dumped into the engine. Try riding at a high gear, then open and close the throttle slowly, you can hear how the engine gets louder as more fuel is injected/sucked in. Although you should not lug your engine, that aint good to the piston.
Also is there any sort of bolt on passager/pillion seat available that can be easily attached onto any of these bikes - Yamaha XVS, VStar, Dragstar or Kawasaki VN? A company in the UK have created one but it only fits a Honda VT Model cycle and it's £1,250.😂

Hi, I'm looking at getting a bobber or trying to modify one myself. Complete novice so is there anyway you can list what parts you added, like the Speedo, exhaust, etc.
You really should go do a first ride on one of the Milwaukee 8 Softail Street Bobs. You would really enjoy it.
I own one. And I love it. No regrets. Love the fact that you can make it your own.
@@1sgriffin I work at a Harley dealer and own a Dyna and an FXR, both have been heavily modified and neither one handles as well as a stock Milwaukee 8 Softail. They may look the part of a cruiser but they certainly don't handle like one.

@@patw9175 I probably should have also said how many metric bikes I own that they out handle... handles better than my ZX7R, both nighthawk 650s, and Ninja S. The only metric bikes I have that handle better are a Superhawk and FZ-07.

I didn’t watch this season of WBR, I’m new to the channel. But I also have that motogadget mini on my Sportster Bobber and it is the tits. Also my Sportster also has a “raked” triple tree on it and I hate it, makes it handle like ass. It increases rake which decreases maneuverability, while also decreasing trail which decreases stability. Worst of both worlds.

I have a 2013 vstar 1300 and absolutely hate the floorboards! I can not find anything online about putting pegs on any info would be greatly appreciated 🙂!
I'm not find of the feel of cruisers, but they can maneuver. If you don't believe me, check out videos of police manuvering demos on 900lb Harleys. Lol
Bike looks good. If I had a critique, and I do, is the cables and wires routing. The fancy dancy gauges, wiring should have gone under the top triple and not over top of it. And the throttle cables, are very distracting. I would have looked into a through the bars set up...much harder, yes, but much cleaner. I give you points for doing as good as a job as you all did, on a bike that is not your typical style.
The lines look good but it looks like you've got your throttle set up wrong with the cables sticking up in the air, they should be going downwards. And the bit that makes it look cheap though is those stupid blue wheels that you've painted and the discs. That's something a tickturd would do with a sports bike.

I’m just curious, now that you’ve ridden this cruiser style bike, do you possibly see yourself doing more cruiser first rides? Maybe something like one of the newer Ducati X-Diavel? I know you did a first ride along time ago on an x diavel, but I was just being curious. Loved the video!!👍👍😊
I could definitely see more Diavels but I think the nakeds, sports and supersports are still my area for now.

Edit, I'll stick with sport bikes and just get bar risers to sit more comfortable, you gave me a big insight on how different riding on these are than sport. *Thank you!*

I love the bike, watched the build from the beginning. But that empty void between the rear tire and the seat is so ugly, it might just be that it's not the way I would've done it, but its so distracting

If I can get a cruiser through Welsh roads in comfort then manoeuvrability really shouldn't be an issue on American roads.

I like how he is worried about scraping - literally the amount of scraping on the pegs or floorboards is a bit of a badge of pride. This is a pretty sweet build. I was thinking of bobbing an 1100 but the 1300 might be a better choice.
The 950/1300 are FAR superior to the old Yamahas. 950 eats the 1100 for lunch. Watch bikesandbeards' 950 video
