My job in Nigeria was with the federal govt and this was through my uncle's connection however I got to the UK in August and I got a job with the government in November without knowing anyone so it's really a big deal to me too. Take your time with work, once you are have arranged your son's nursery then you can start job hunting and i pray you get a good one that suit you very soon.

I lived in Saudi Arabia for over a year. It is not a part of the UAE, but they're closely related, right?😁 I can attest to the better pay and security issues you've mentioned here. We enjoyed a life of zero tax. I loved the peace and tranquility therein, but I was not allowed to work being a dependant and it drowned my spirit. That was the main reason we took flight.
