Some lore for you. What happened is he started to pray that the prototype would come save him but the prototype betrayed him. It’s a reference to how catnap was Theo a 7 year old kid trying to escape and had an accident with the green hand and was about to die but the prototype saved him. He thought the same thing was going to happen but he got betrayed
He offered himself as sacrifice.

The jumpscares have actually gotten to the point of the definition of Nightmare fuel. Now I can see why Mob Games truly kept us hyped for what’s to come.

That CatNap death was just sad... after he worshipped the prototype for some reason, he gets killed by its "savior" while praying for help, after he promptly arrived looking like he wanted to give him a second chance, while he only revealed his purpose: becoming bigger and stronger, by maybe creating an amalgamation. But that kissy scene... she maybe revealed her mental instability by becoming mad crazy, or she was taken by the prototype who brainwashed her. Honestly, this work of art of a chapter gave me more questions than answers 😅

I think many think that catnap was "betrayed" by 1006, but I will be more honest and tell my point of view on the part of catnap's death: 1006 initially offers his hand to Catnap, presumably to help and save him, but Catnap instead offers himself as a sacrifice (to be part of 1006) perhaps because he realized that his weakness would not be useful (catnap was almost skeletal due to lack of food, which is why he is vulnerable and attacks while hunting) plus he was electrocuted and it was weak

Now that I think of it, it migh actually be true. You can also see the hand gestures of the Prototype, it's as if he was ready to help CatNap but kind of got surprised he wanted to sacrifice himself instead.
For me, what happened to dog day disturbed me the most, just the way the little mini critter things were crawling into him while he’s literally begging, it just left me with a feeling of discomfort and unease… I usually don’t get uncomfortable or scared from many horror games but THIS- this was truly terrifying. So excited for the next chapter :]

Ms. Delight and her counterparts are horrendous. You can actually see her brain, her gums/teeth, those wide eyes and...that smile...honestly i wouldn't doubt that she and the others actually would've been willing to kill the kids and adults without being controlled by the prototype...i mean...her cut out with the voice box is enthusiastic about the human body and the specifics of it. They were starving...all of them...

The reason this chapter too so long is because they spent so much time working on project playtime. Now that they aren't super focused on that anymore, they can spend much more time on chapter 4. Its still gonna take a while. But definitely not until 2026

Oh my, it is simply exquisite! The story line, the graphics and the characters are superb! It keeps you on the edge of your seat, the music is thrilling and it's overall a thoroughly engaging game. The fact that it's a standalone chapter is a bonus, allowing players to truly experience the full game without having to worry about previous chapters. A truly remarkable game, 10 out of 10!

I think it’s meant to be more psychologically creepy than anything else, showing that the prototype doesn’t care about anyone, he only cares about himself and what benefits him.

It just doesn't make any sense at all. How come the final form CatNap switches to his normal self whenever the jumpscare played, and before he was being burned?
It is because that form of catnap is actually a hallucination to appear more gloomy that is why when it catches us it changes to its real form since the other is merely a hallucination
Maybe cuz his other form is probably a hallucination caused by the gas? And when he catches us, the effect of the gas wears off and we see his normal form?

Scary and sad part about this is that CatNap never wanted to devour you but only wanted you to eternally sleep as he was designed and programmed to do so. As you can see upon his death screams, he was releasing sleeping gas on his mouth. It is his only job he loved since he was praised for it by the scientists who cared for him, despite not knowing about being tested as a test subject.
He stayed innocent until the end
I guess that explains why he didn’t kill us in the beginning.
