Hi guys! The first time I was in Germany I had to visit a doctor, of course I felt ill and he hadn't another option that gave me an "spritze" haha, it was fine and I got better very quickly. The thing is he wouldn't give me the "spritze" but had no choice. I think he was afraid about the "method" we were used to in the past in South America. He found them a little bit harsh, but I survived. Everything was good. Bye from Uruguay Johannes!
Hi Patricia, Yeah that's true. The doctors in Germany normally try to avoid to prescribe any strong medicine or giving "Spritze". I think in Germany most doctors believe in the self healing process of the human body. As far as I remember it only happened once to me that a doctor decided to give me "eine Spritze" . Viele Grüße nach Uruguay 🙂👋🙏
@@yourgermanteacher Exactly, After that experience I learnt that doctors in Germany aren´t keen on giving "Spritzes" and what they do is truly amazing. Bye!

very timely 😊 will be having our A2 next week.. 😁 and our Lehrer asked us to study more on the medical vocabs since we are a nurse 😅 thank you so much for this vid 👍new video to share with my classmates 😊
Hi Johannes, Could you please consider making a video about schools in Germany (German school system). I am doing A2 and it is really confusing how kids move to different schools. Looking forward to it. LG, Vikram
Hi Vikram 👋 I agree the German school system is quite difficult to understand. It also changed a lot since my schooldays. Not sure when we will find the time to make this video, but I'll put this topic on our bucket list. It's definitely an interesting topic. 🙂👍🙏
Out of topic but i just wanna know Do you already have a video with the topic about two part coordinating conjunction? If you do can you kindly comment the link? Thanks
We read your email. The grammar of those conjunctions you are interested in is spanning from A2 - B2. It's not possible to explain this in a short way. But we will definitely make videos explaining each one of them. 🙏
Hi... In this sentence "denn" is used to make the question sound friendlier and less direct. These kind of words are called "Modalpartikel"... "doch" can also be used as "Modalpartikel" e.g. for a request or a suggestion. Geh doch wandern! Kauf doch diesen Computer. noch = still noch nicht = not yet schon = already In spoken language "schon' can also be used to show that you agree with something but still have some doubts . ...Ja, das stimmt schon, aber... 🙂👍🙏
Education is besically free.... at least schools and universities. (its paid by taxes). but medical facilities are not free. You need to have a health insurance (private or statutory). They charge a monthly fee. How much you need to pay depends on your salary and which kind of insurance you have. If you have a statutory insurance the monthley fees will automatically be deducted from your salary, before you get your money... but when you go to see a doctor you dont need to pay anything in cash, this will all be covered by your insurance 😊👍🙏
When I was in Berlin, I had a really bad cold, but I had only been studying German (on my own, no classes yet), for maybe 4 months. We went to an Apotheke, and I didn't know "Erkältung" yet, so all I could say was "Ich bin krank...mir ist kalt. Ich brauche Aspirin" 😂 They spoke ZERO English, which is why it was tough for me (our Hotel was in the former East Berlin, so I think they only knew German and maybe Russian 😅) I don't remember the brand of aspirin, but it was amazing...cleared everything up completely within maybe 2 hours, and it never came back...wish I could remember what it was 🤣
@@yourgermanteacher It definitely wasn't Bayer though, that's the crazy part. We used Bayer in the US all the time, but this was a different German brand...

Interesting story. And I think the aspirin brand might have been "Bayer" ... It's the one you normally get when you ask for it in pharmacies. 🙂👍🙏
