I love the idea of blood stains from the tyranid head on the spikes. I also like the idea of using the piece on the shoulder pad for the minion! Truly inspired! Thanks!

That sounds like a really cool miniature, capturing the precise moment a Chaos Lord is possessed by a daemon prince really seems like a fantastic opportunity to model a one of a kind miniature! And that Bat Wingspan bit is PERFECT for Night Lords themed mutants!!!
Good point! I think in some cases, like with big vehicles or monsters, separate works better and its easier to do a piece in sub-assemblies (like the mortis engine or skaven doomwheel). I think I've grown used to doing infantry and terminator sized models in one piece, although for other painters, separately works just as well. I don't like painting each piece separately, like on the sprue, cause when you cut them off and glue them together, pieces will be missing, colors might not match etc
I actually was planning to do a taetorial with this guy, and just said "Screw it!" and started painting him up. It was the power of Chaos! Curse you, Ruinous Powers!!! This would've been an awesome taetorial!!!
The mysterious piece from 10:04 is supposed to be used in conjunction with the long cloth tabard as a piece sitting on top of it, like a belt buckle. You can see it in the instructions on some photos of the finished models.

Hahaha “for no real reason” is the best reason to throw money onto a new purchase! I used to buy only the newest, most OP units that ended up being no fun to paint and also ended up needed to ineptitude when the new rule set came out. Now, I’m just in it to paint it.
The new music is ok maybe a little too dark but cool anyway, maybe you could use it on your WH40000 taetorials as i think it creates a great atmosphere and let the old music for warhammer fantasy taetorials, i don't know it's just an idea... keep painting, unboxing and showing us your awesome work!
Thanks, I think I wanted a "come at me, bro" kind of implacable walking forward in front of an explosion look for him, rather than an arms raised "PARTY TIME!" action pose. I think when I painted him up it came out pretty well. If I were painting a World Eaters psycho Terminator Lord, though, yeah haha I'd definitely pose him as if he were going buck wild in the middle of a scrap! =D

wow talk about irony, i stumbled upon this after redoing my terminator sorcerer and turning him into a word bearers terminator lord with a levitating chaos artifact literally twenty minutes before i saw this
I'm just thinking. But what about chaos lord in terminator armor where you take some of those really big horns from the newest bloodthirster and try to fit them on him. that would be awesome

Yes that could be a problem. But thats The fun part. Make them Unique so others will be blown away by their awesomenes. My very first daemon Prince is like no other. And I only used parts from The pack. He has three set of Horns. Plus he Don't have a right hand. Instead a sword is growing out. And when i finally Paint him i'm gonna take The other heads Paint in some other god color. Maybe T'zeentchian and slaaneshi colors. Then Glue The on Hes hooks. Then he Will have throphies
Nice! I do love how simple it is to kit bash so many of the kits. You really have no limit to what you can create. When I got back into the hobby, it was my goal to make minis that were unique that nobody else could possibly have.

I haven't, send me a link. And I did get him, I also go the chaos Terminators and I added the double lascannon on him, along with the Aspiring Champion's knife. I'm gonna paint it all up before I glue on the arms and the head to make it easier. Unfortunately, I posed him in such a way that the cape doesn't fit :( It's cool though, I'll just put it on another Terminator.
