SWV (Sisters With Voices) is an American R&B vocal trio from New York City, New York whose members are Cheryl (Coko) Gamble, Tamara (Taj) Johnson and Leanne (Lelee) Lyons. Formed in 1988 as a gospel group,SWV became one of the most successful R&B groups of the 1990s. They had a series of hits, including "Weak", "Right Here (Human Nature Remix)", "I'm So into You", and "You're the One". The group disbanded in 1998 to pursue solo projects and reunited in 2005. SWV has sold more than 25 million records worldwide.
SOB's is a live world music venue and restaurant in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. S.O.B.’s is an abbreviation of Sounds of Brazil. Larry Gold started SOBs in June 1982
I remember watching this performance on their reality show. Lelee’s reaction to Coko hitting that note will NEVER get old. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
"I luuuuuh dem hoes, I luh dem hoes!!!" Lelee always cracked me up! And I loved how Taj assured Coko that they would get through the performance, even though she was so angry with them earlier.

I remember them saying on the show, "Coko couldn't stand & LeLe couldn't sit." 😂 She sat down & kilt tho!!! That was Legendary! We ❤ SWV.

SWV def deserves many Grammy awards; but Coko deserves them too as a solo artist because she worked really hard in SWV and did most of the singing. Yet alone she was featured in a Grammy winning song "Men In Black" and even though the song won a Grammy she wasn't included in it the woman has just been cheated so man ways SMH
I don't understand how they never won a Grammy when they was the FIRST girl group of the 90' to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart and it was from their very first album. Not taking anything away from them, but neither En Vogue or TLC accomplished that on their first albums.
