If you want to cheese the nodes correctly, you harvest all nodes 4 times but don't break, then log out and in and they respawn again to hit 4 more times. Rinse and repeat.
@@robstapleton422 I just did this on accident the other day while my cousin closed our world and reopened it 🤣 I was taking stuff out of storage and whatever I took was in my inventory and still in the chest
i just found out if u recycle a stack of 5 gun parts you get 5 iron bars every time and some comps! mining iron ore takes forever mainly cause it doesnt respawn very fast and you have to waste so much wood and time cooking it
If you're playing single player you can pause the game while smelting ore and the ore still smelts. That way you don't have to waste an entire in-game day smelting. Guess that could be an exploit though.
Save scumming didn’t work because you broke that iron node. If you went just 4 hits on it, it would have respawned when you logged out & returned. Then 4 hits again…. And on every other node on that island, And others. You can grab a full inv of ores between the 3 east islands near there, including underwater, and see it respawn after a save/load. Or you can wait the many days to respawn thanks to the 15% incremental respawning they added to game shortly after early release… if you’re trying to build a Big base and all the steel components for content, this might even be necessary… otherwise… good luck with that dead map for days… lol.
@@seethrew nope. Just highlighting what some do and why. Without that We’re consigned to exploring empty poi’s we killed for extra days while the map slowly respawns all that was lost. Oh oh we can fight a shark here and there. Yeah! Takes maybe 10-14 days to get all those nodes back on that one island to start again. Vs I’ve seen some streamers do it in minutes by the stop short & savelog method… so they could build their huge base complexes. It’s a choice. Or not. Gg bro. You tried it, failed. Learned why. Decided to play it straight. That’s a choice too. Gg.

There is actually a straight up inventory duplication when in multiplayer. Can dupe an entire inventory.

Great vid - I get my iron from recycling components. Until it gets nerfed, one stack of 20 Components will net 20 iron ingots, glass, rubber.

Some people have said nothing respawns.
Trees, metal ore, strawberry, mushrooms, food ect all do respawn. Everything else no
