INCREDIBLE ABANDONED CATHEDRALS IN BELCHITE | TRAVEL VLOG SPAIN

- Exploring the ruined town of Belchite in Spain was one of the best memories I have of our travels through the country. Two towering abandoned cathedrals scarred with the bullet holes of a war long past. We arrived not knowing what to expect, but my mind was blown. It was an absolutely incredible adventure.
Belchite means beautiful city, and it was one of the many casualties of the Spanish Civil war in 1937. This city was one of the very first to suffer the effects of an air raid, this type of warfare and just begun to see use, and you can see the results in the cathedrals. They are crumbling.
Losing this town was hard for many people. It's beauty was remarkable. However, instead of repairing the city to its former glory, an new Belchite was built beside it, and the ruins continue to lay abandoned as a war memorial. Because of the thousands of lives that were lost here, it is considered one of the most haunted places in Spain, and they say the echos of war can still be heard in the walls. Scary stuff!
It turns out there are guided tours here. We just showed up and went with the flow. You can organize them at the local tourism office in New Belchite
This travel vlog was a lot of fun. The day was perfect for exploration, and the sunset was epic. We hope you enjoy this place. It was quite special!

You really should learn your history and respect the site that you are making this insensitive movie. The site is not abandoned, the site is evidence of what Franco was able to do to innocent people, there and in many other places, and left Belchite as a site to show what he could do to Republicans. Till today, there has been no court case such as those held post WWII to bring to justice 36 years of dictatorship and terror. I am disgusted by your film's insensitivity and really recommend that you read and learn about the causes and impact of the Spanish Civil War. When entering this site, you should think you are in a place like a burial, not a place to have an exciting adventure.
