    Been a CNA is not an easy job. Requires so much patience and dedication. God bless you and all the CNA's for all your work and care ❤

      That is so true, it's hard work but once you love what you do, & you have coworkers that work as a team it makes the job less stressful.

    Start my cna class on Monday 8th. 5 week program.. I'm so excited. I've been watching these videos for 3 months. Decided this is something I wanted to do. Because I love helping people. I hear this job is hard. But at my age 54.. I would love to retire at cna. Which facility would you recommend ? And why ?

      So happy for you, the job can be hard at times, but if everyone works together it will make the job easier, for example, if my assignment is easier , I will offer my help to the other CNA, like giving them a eye whenever they use the mechanical lift, or helping them to pull a resident up in bed. There's a lot of places you can work as a CNA , but for me, I love nursing homes because I get to form a bond with the resident am taking care of , I know about their history, what they did when they were younger , places they use to shop at etc. You can also work in Rehab that's for like Reaident who comes to the facility and trying to get better from a fall, broken leg, heart surgeries etc, but you only work with then for a short period of time because as soon as they are heal, the facility will discharge them and they will go home to their love one . I also work on the Dementia unit can learn a lot in that unit. I work as a floating Aid so am all over , but I get work on all the unit. Sorry for the long reply , but longterm care is always my go to unit to work.

    Ive qorked in nursing homes for 30 plus yrs as a cna it does not go this smooth i would not do cna work anymore for any amount of money its horrible you have no help no time to get everything done its not a fun job

    • @kimamazen
      @kimamazen  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @lindathompson7994 Not everyday is easy, but when it comes to helping you should asked for help. When I want help, I don't only depend on CNA for help ,I knock on my manager door & asked her to help me as well . House keeping help us to picked the trays up, when a Patient is finished eating ,so it's a team work.Also if I see a trash 🗑 can without bag ,I will replace it for whoever working in house keeping. Sorry no one help you out when you used to be a CNA ,and you have that horrible experience, maybe it was the place you worked at,but there are good Nursing home out there.

    Hello, I have a question. Is working in a nursing home/ long term care facility hard? And do you have to do everything for your residents?

    • @kimamazen
      @kimamazen  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello I've been working Longterm for 14 years , and it's not too hard to me ,depends on what you consider to be hard, most of my patient can walk or sit up,can get their top on,but will need assistance getting their socks or pants on. I also work with patient that you have to do total care ,but you always have someone to assist you like a Nurse or CNA, if they're too hard for you to do.
