Chris, THANK YOU SO MUCH for providing the thread/pitch of the screw and the size bit you used.. that's huge for any of us that wanted to tap vs. using the mismatching ugly phillips head self tapping screws. this is honestly the best way to mount as youre using 3 methods - the anchor up top, the double sided tape and the screws threading directly into the pedal. great work, you've help us all!
Awesome, thank you for the feedback. Glad you appreciate the video! When i heard people say that the Mugen pedals didn't fit on the NSX that well, it piqued my interest and i felt this method was the best and most secure (and fairly easy too, with the right tools of course).
@@ChrisLumNSX im about to do mine on an old CL type S.. pretty sure i'll be going on the Accord platform directions - although, these are based solely on pedal sizes from Mugen.. honda used the same sizes on various models so even if it's not listed, find its equivalent. beyond that, placement (up/down) for the gas pedal is basically just preference. although, placed too low the cover will hit the floor before the pedal maxes out for WOT; something ppl should consider..
Did you ever put them on? I've been thinking about getting them but wherever I look it doesn't seem like Mugen made these compatible with the S :( But at the same time I've seen videos and forum posts saying that it can be done so I don't even know anymore lool
I think Mugen should have made that backing plate for the gas pedal as a square shape rather than rectangular. This would provide a larger coverage area and make it reach the 2nd row from the bottom. Now I'm wondering if it's possible to just go out to a plastics store such as TAPS Plastic and have them cut out such a piece in plastic and then tap the 2 screw holes. This is a very helpful install guide. Thanks!
Hey Chris, thanks for the video, really informative. Your video helped me greatly during the installation to my Honda Fit but there's one little problem which is I don't think the plastic cover in the gas pedal is removable on Honda Fit's. I easily removed the rubber ones in the other two pedals but no luck with the gas pedal. In Honda Fit forums people say that the only solution is drilling the gas pedal which I'd like to avoid if I could. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks again for the informative video!
I’m not super familiar with Honda fit gas pedal. Is the pad plastic and the rest of the pedal arm metal? If so then I’m sure it can be removed since they are probably not molded together.
Hey Chris, do you still have this car? if so, do you mind helping checking for me the height of the pedals (starting from where you heels rest to the pedals) and the degree (angle) of the pedals (you can use a phone app if no tools available)? thank you 🙏
I wonder if the knock offs would fit better :P My only issue with the Mugen pedals is that the clutch and brake are nice and grippy and the gas can be kind of slippery if your shoe is wet.
You shouldn't have to drill for the integra. Should be fully bolt on and install like how it shows in the instructions. Only the NSX has an issue with not fitting as it should.

Thank you!! I appreciate it!

I'm so tempted to put these pedals on my s2k lol great video!!
Thanks! S2k already has nice pedals! But if they’re worn these would be a nice option!

That’s true. Kinda odd that they didn’t put the same texture on the throttle pedal.
Mabey Grip tape would work
just watched this entire video, i do not own Mugen pedals, nor do I own an NSX 🤣
thanks for watching all things considered! lol
Did the sticky mesh/insert on the gas and clutch come loose after a while? I heard that may be an issue.
No, mine are perfectly fine. I've heard of that happening with knock off Mugen pedals though.
Do you think I have to screw for my Integra ?
I don’t think you will have to. Should bolt right on.
Thank you Chris
Are those pedals specific made for nsx?
They’re made to fit a range of different Hondas but the NSX is indeed listed as one of the applications that it’s supposed to work for.
can this work on integras specifically mine is a 1995 Acura Integra LS
You shouldn't have to drill for the integra. Should be fully bolt on and install like how it shows in the instructions. Only the NSX has an issue with not fitting as it should.
The clutch is normally the outside pedal.
haha yeah my mistake!
