Actually, the jigsaw floor in the gym rooms is trying to replicate the interlocking rubber floor tiles you see in commercial gyms and some home gyms for noise reduction and floor protection for weights and such stuff. I like the attention to detail.
i've seen them in day cares (red, yellow, blue, green of course), but not in a gym... but i see how they would be good especially if you were dropping heavy weights or jumping. I googled it and they apparently come in "rainbow daycare" but also black, so you must be onto something

the lore is actually unrivalled from what we've seen so far... most of the pre-made sims have one or more enemies, lot's of drama waiting to be had, especially with story progression

The comment you made about the size of the house being better for TS4 is so right lol. I recently built probably my first house ever in TS3 and I built it like I build in TS4 and oh my gosh did I have routing issues. I played TS3 for a long time, but I don't remember ever building anything so it kind of surprised me when I realized I was going to have problems with them getting around.
it really makes challenges apparent... like rags to riches or legacy, you can't just smoosh everything into a 4x4 square, everyone needs space to move around.

That house looks a LOT like an empty house from Oasis Landing called The Campus (I mentioned it in the OL video) It has that same "Stair Floors" design from right to left with an extra "Step" tho. And the pool on the front, facing a cliff. It's almost like that's an upgraded/futuristic version of this.
Once again, I missed part of a two parter. Havnt played in this town but a few times so I'm really glad I found it this morning cuz now I'm jazzed to play around renovating a few of these.
Was Modern was a lost opportunity to make a gorgeous retro house. I know realistically that's how it would age probably in the real world, especially if it wasn't in the hands of someone who is rich. So they have points for being realistic for me. However, this inspires me to do a renovation challenge like you said, because some of those houses did look good. I have a feeling they purposely chose the ugliest colors, patterns, and furniture of the era they were going for.
Everyone is so wowed by the first house and Im here pulling a face. Its truly a mcmansion, sims 3 style. I should add I do think it works great for LA!
Thank God EA bounced back in the second half! It's a shame we had to see everything in a dreary, cloudy sky when LA is always pictured bright and sunny. It would have made these lots even better!

I think the downstairs bedroom in Modern Marvel could be either for a butler/housekeeper or for elderly parents so they don't have to do the stairs. At least that's a real-life scenario.
Great video, as usual. :) I'm still wondering, what kind of color settings EA screens have, that they really build stuff in such terrible colors all the time :D Don't worry about letting us wait and take good care of your voice. I've struggled with voice issues in the past (still kind of do, honestly) and they can get bad surprisingly quickly.
@@Rekowcski I used to sing semi-professionally (mostly semi because I always had trouble with the transition between my head and chest voice) until an undetected infection in my early twenties dropped my voice from a low set mezzo to a contralto within weeks. Now I permanently sound like I'm currently recovering from a really bad cold :D On the other hand, I sing much more convincing villain songs now ;)

Whelp, after finishing the second part, I do like these builds a little more, but nothing that has not been similarly done, replicated or can be done better with having all the other EA Worlds (including the Sims 3 Store). For me, Showtime is still a disappointing pack, and Starlight Shores definitely does not live up to the height of what one would expect of the rich and famous (or not yet famous) of LA. Thus, I will not be purchasing it, but thank you for the tour, that solidified my decision (even though, I disagree with the world and EP as a whole). As I stated before, the aspects in Showtime should have been introduced in Late Night, especially the singer career (whereby having coehesive bands make more sense), and they did not even tie them together, if you own both EPs. The acrobats and magicians are not enough to carry this pack alone, as I think acrobats should have been gymnasts in an Olympic Games pack (although I am a bit biased, being a former competive gymnast). As for the magician and new life-state, Genie, either they could have been added to Supernatural, Seasons, Late Night, Ambitions, University Life, or even in separate Sims 3 Store packs (at least I would own them without paying any money, because they used to allow us to watch ads for SimPoints, and with following the Daily Deal Rotation, they would be relatively easy to acquire), and I bet the venues would be even better, if it came from the Sims 3 Store! And, I do think I have told you this in another video (sorry I could not pass this information on when the ads were being offered, but no one has to pay full price for any Sims 3 Store content, because if you follow the Daily Deal rotation (more info can be found in the Sims Forums), you can find many free items, the best discounted items, and items that will save the most to finish off sets and compilations for free. Plus, if you have registered all your EA EPs and SPs, you likely have a couple thousand SimPoints that you may not know about. But, there are a few worlds that are not offered for SimPoints (I am hoping before it closes that EA will rectify this, because I would buy SimPoints, just to gift others, since I do own the entire Store). If they bring back ads, everyone will be able to own the entire Store for free (like I did, with the exception of a couple Worlds, which I did catch on sale or was gifted). That leads me to the last tip, the Sims 3 community is still very active (with veteran players, like me finding Sims 4 insulting, appalling and BORING), and in the Sims Forums, there are so many contests that give out prizes (Sims 3 Store items, EPs, SPs, etc.), and if you are like me, owning all you want to own, you can paticipate and gift others if you win, or sponsor said gift-giving events. Hope this might help someone❣
