Was ice fishing with my buddy and his girls on Lake Clear ON using that exact perch Buckshot from your vid. I explained the jigging action required to Cinda ( 8 year old autistic daughter) and the Garmin chirp I was using. She got right dialed in, knew exactly where the jig was in relation to the bottom and instituted that aggressive jig action you had previously spoken about. 10 minutes later she caught her first Walter!! Her interaction with the Garmin was amazing, only matched by her elation of catching a fish! It was a wonderful moment for all involved. Thanks for all your great videos.
The Swedish pimple! Love it. Just got into ice fishing last year and that was my go lure for panfish. I'm hoping to try some of the bigger sizes for walleye this year. Awesome seeing someone given the pimple some love.
Funny, I just got into hard water last year as well. Same for the Swedish Pimple and a couple of others. Caught enough fish to catch the ice bug. Waiting on the freeze. Good luck this year!
*It's great caught caught a brown trout on the first cast. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend if it was a little smaller it would be more effective for different species*
Love my Swedish pimples! One of my favorite walleye/perch lures of all time. I have have been having great success with the flutter spoon also. After watching this though i did run out and grab a couple freedom spoons to try. Cant wait! Great video! Thanks
I like to write in a journal of things I learn or want to remember from fly fishing to ice fishing and you sir have mad it into the book. I'll be saving this video to write some of your good points to remember for a later time. Thanks
I really enjoy fishing with spoons, and I agree with the your spoon selection. A newer option is the Stingeye from Thundermist lures. Slim profile, comes in gold and silver. Similar to the Swedish Pimple, but the eye at the bottom triggers bites. Great explanation on colors and spoon action.
Love the videos. I am very new to ice fishing and walleye fishing in general. This video had some great info. Would you consider doing a beginners video on “jigging” for ice fishing that shows how to jig the rod and what the corresponding action of the lure looks like? A lot of the videos on YT seem to make the assumption that a viewer has some basic knowledge or exposure. I like your teaching style and think you could do a great job helping those of us just getting started in ice / walleye fishing.
Thanks for the nod on the Tried and True lures. So easy to take out an additional mortgage on the lodge every year on all the new, just gotta have because they slay fish, lures. Nice job.
Dang it Nick...I shouldn't watch tackle videos on midnight shifts. It's counter productive. 😂 I had to order a few of the freedom spoons. 😉😂 I haven't had to buy any lures for 10 years, now I can try a few new things.
Great video man you’ve got my sub. I like how thorough you were with explaining the positives of the lure it self but also how to really use the lure to get the most action out of it 👍🏼 For the buckshot fire tiger spoon is 3/8 Oz a good size or go for the one you suggestion?
Hey Nick..Give the Sonic BaitFish a good look. It's a metal jig / blade hybrid. Mack's Lure Co in Wenatchee, WA is the manufacturer. Good health to you.
Great & imformative video,Thanks for sharing. What size snap do you use or recommend all around for spoons? Is there any spoon you don't use them or wouldn't recommend using them on? As well for the swedish pimples,Do you use or recommend the single hook? Or Trebble hook? Thanks in advance.
Hey Ron, sorry it took me a million years to reply. Just getting through some old comments now. I'll use a #0 snap usually and for the pimples, I'd just recommend using treble
@@NickLindner oh that's easy. Trouble would be catching a big one LOL. Hell thats actually a decent idea for a video. Making lures on the ice out of dinner spoons and catching fish with them.
@@WheresTheSauce I'm not sure if central MN walleyes are dumb enough! Maybe if the queen opens the border and let's me sneak up to LOTW! Haha Although first ice on Red Lake might have dumb enough walleyes....

That's an awesome story. Thanks for sharing. Awesome memories!
Good video. It goes beyond the regular Northland commercial. You mention other good lures too. That's good for your credabilty and keeps it real.

You won't regret giving it a try!
I remember fishing with my dad in the late 70 s early 80 s. We used the Swedish pimple a lot . And still do today

Thanks Nick... I grew up watching your family on TV. I see they've passed the mantel on to you. Classy presentation. Thanks
Thanks for the message Tom

Thanks for watching Corey. Hopefully the new spoons work out for ya 👍

I appreciate that! Glad I could help
Best ice fishing content around. Keep it up
Thanks man!
Great video, thanks! Switching up ice fishing and targeting walleye for the first time.
Best of luck chasing walleyes Logan!

love to see some pimple love. Thats my goto for years! gold on clouds silver on sun
It's a classic!
Awesome job Nick!
Keep the videos coming!
Thanks!

Quality stuff here. Your my favorite host on the angling buzz channel. Glad that I found your own channel!
Thanks - glad you're enjoying it

I think that would be acceptable. It's a big one, but you can go fairly large on the Buckshots
Have you used a "do jigger?" They're made by Bay de Noc. My personal favorite on Saginaw bay.
Yeah, those are cool spoons
Great tips and explanations! Thanks!
Glad you found it helpful
Slender spoon and the VMC tingler spoon are my best baits.
Those are definitely a couple killers
Nice video👍🏽 Thanks for the info!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
Thinking about trying the Lindy Quiver Spoons, have you tried them? Great video, good explanation of each lure, hope to see more.
Not too much, but I know it looks pretty good underwater
Good stuff 😎
Thanks Joe!
Swedish pimple is also great for panfish with waxies tipped
Definitely true!

Would you rather use a swivel & clip to the buckshot/flutter spoon or tie the line directly.?
I usually use a swivel, then a couple feet of fluorocarbon leader, then a snap
love these videos!
Thanks!
Caught a lot of trout on the Swedish pimple
It's a killer spoon
Likeeee kiiiiiler
I have always used a leader because of northern pike? Do you not use them for Walleye?
No leaders for walleye. Just thin, clear fluoro
great video nic .I have 4 of the spoons
Which one don't you have?
@@NickLindner minnow spoon
Ahh yeah. It's a pretty sweet spoon.
Good luck
Thanks!
Where is your hat from?
It's from Northland Tackle
this winter I'm going to cut and drill out a dinner spoon just to see if it works. (will probably work)
Let me know if you can get a walleye to bite it! 😂

Used them in the 90's on Saginaw Bay ,work great ,made some this year going to try them again
do you have more time since you left the Jonas brothers
Less time on the road, but just as busy!
