- Join ITS as Bryan walks through three different methods for replacing your zipper pulls with paracord. This video also details an easy method to tie the Lanyard Knot, which is one of the three methods for tying a paracord pull.

Hands down the BEST instructional there is for a lanyard knot.
Just wanted to chime in and say this is a WONDERFUL mod on a Tom Bihn backpack. The zippers are quite "noisy" however I didn't want to cut them off so I just used slightly longer Paracord sections and wove them in and through the zipper pull holes and then added a section of the electrical heat shrink. It has a typo of sealing agent/adhesive in it and when heated it's activated. Love it. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Thanks again ITS, I like the heat shrink solution.that would be nice to use for jackets too. I like using a box knot on my day bag, I just never remember how to tie it.One issue is the loop that is created in the pull, I use this to run a carabiner through for added security (keeping honest people honest) while standing around in public areas.
Very useful. I just replaced some pulls on my North Face Recon using the Heat Shrink Tubing -- Love it. I'll use this on all my bags, custom look to each pack. ITS is always uploading useful stuff, thanks for this one.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
You can stop jingling by slipping a piece of shrink tube over the metal zipper pull and shrinking it. The "lanyard knot" is a diamond knot
Great idea. May do a few of these, just picked up a package if shrink tubing from harbor freight.
Very helpful and well done video, thank you.
Great demonstration - thanks!
Nice. The lanyard knot is great. I think my EDC bag will be getting an upgrade! Cheers.
You could make one zipper pull an overhand knot with a smaller space between the zipper and the pull and another as a lanyard knot then they could be 'locked' together. I did that with my luggage pulls.
Thanks for the info
excellent explanation. very helpful. 5 star performance.
where can I get one of the first aid patches shown on the bag in this video?
I love your watch ... what model please
you can also use Kevlar cordage.
Awesome Idea, I Couldn't Help But Notice Your Watch. What Brand Is It?
Where did you get that remember the fallen bracelet
Great stuff, Bryan.
You should show us your new watch, too. ;) Where's the good old G-Shock?
I know the video is from 6 years ago but I try to ask the same: how can I make the red colored ring on the handle?
i have a swiss gear bag that has a lifetime warranty. would this void the warranty?
I just bought a backpack for hunting and the zippers where too loud to even carry the backpack slowly. So this helped a lot.
like to have long paracord design on my pulls. Carry at least 50 feet in jingles paracord on some backpacks. And I have used them bunch of times. Basicly forgetting rope for hammock. hehe cool video mate.
i would put a box weave or cobra weave, with 2 colours, make it look more fancy
what brand of watch your waring. .
What watch are you sporting
What if the zipper has a lock on it will the paracord work?
Is that a maratac watch that you are wearing? And the compass? Are those from CountyComm? LOL !!! Great idea for the zipper pull! Thanks for sharing bro!
Dude has some balls touching melted para cord that stuff feels like lava.
belly cam... or one that is between you and what you are working on.
i have the same shirt
Damn I was hoping people wouldn't catch on too this semi complicated knot lol
lol this url "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc"
Why pronounce a word wrong when you apparently know you are pronouncing it wrong? Just wondering...
Habit or dialect I assume.
