Well, that was a treat - Sheffield buses and the Carpenters! As a kid in the 1960's I'd be excited to ocasionally see Sheffield single deckers well out of their area - transporting workers to a resovoir being built near Selby. Also rode the dual purpose single deckers - complete with anti-macassars on the headrests - out to Fox House.
Well I managed to get the Carpenters Music on and sometimes I have had stupid issue over music copyright infringement intended to try and get the ownership of the videos and which I do have a good argue with the rules of the TH-cam and quite frankly I owe the entire video and the Carpenters music can be downloaded from the music apps but depends if the app is available or sometimes blocked by the Microsoft again.
I worked on the New Trams when they first onto the City Streets and I was an Ambassador know as the Static and Customer Services Team Member well know as the Ticket Inspectors as well.
Thank you for your comment and I had looked through my albums and I can't find the number at the moment and if I do come across it I will be happy to let you know when I go through various searches and photos Stock.
Is it just me, or do you find yourselves dipping into these videos every time there's another nightmarish revision of the bus services?? September 2024 for example. That person who had a quick chat with Tory MP Irvine Patnick and asked, "You've privatised everything else, why don't you privatise the buses?", has got a lot to answer for! 🤬😡🤭
@@Sheffield_Steve thank you for your comment, but I was on holiday for a week back in my hometown of Sheffield a few days ago and with the nightmares of the Sheffield Transport Buses lakely I too wasn't happy with as the first group wasn't provided with a better service and belief me they would be some changes like the Manchester first group services.
Thank you for the memories of a boy growing up in Sheffield and a later a man working on the later ones, good times.
I enjoyed the Sheffield Transport Bus Album video
I would love to find and keep one for all as collector and love those pics and song❤❤

These buses was in 1960 and 1970 and there were old trams but the old trams gone in 1980 I think and new trams came in 1993 but I’m 9 years old

Sheffield Corporation certainly knew how to run buses!
