After spending more and more time with Rick, Summer has developed into somewhat of a younger version of him - with her biting and brutal comebacks, flirtation with alien drugs, and an occasional take over of an alien civilization and becoming their queen. Straight up summer is one of the reasons I love this show. She use to be a typical teen you throw into any show,but they developed her character into so much more than that.
Same. I started watching and as a woman, it was a bit disappointing to see what I initially assumed would be the typical trope about dumb teenage girls. Glad I stuck around. I also just love her bond with Morty. “Come watch TV.”
Rick is a good / bad influence on her xD

Summer being stuck in a Rick’s car ended up being the funniest side plot to any episode in my opinion
She really became a wanted criminal by sitting there
I think that is probably the best episode in the whole series. Both the A and B plots are really cool, really dark, and really funny. And both explore strong scifi themes

Honestly summer by far is one of the best animated "teen" girls ever, like a lot of them in other shows are annoying as hell and you just want them to be a background character but summer it's like you want to see more of her.

I found the "shy pooper" thing funny because Sarah Chalke (Beth) played Elliot on Scrubs, who was a shy pooper.

Any time Summer is an ass to Jerry, I think back to the fact that both Beth and Jerry made it very obvious to Summer that she was the reason they got married and the reason for their misery.
They got pregnant with her and made it her problem. They deserve anything she throws at them.

Still love how she is still the first and foremost person to stand up to Rick, and while occasionally making some dumb moments, is the only person in the family during the parasite invasion who could create more than one parasite at a time in her flashbacks. I have the feeling the more she sees what Rick is and reframes her view of her reality, the closer she will get to being Rick herself and being one of the smartest people out there without the megaseeds.

The throwaway joke about choosing to get Cs feels like a real truth.
Summer numbs herself to all the stuff going on in her family and worldview by fixating on the inane side of life the way Rick leans into hard drugs.
However the citadel of ricks considers 'Weaponising a Summer' a criminal offense and in the majority of situations when SHTF she rises to it and often comes out either on top or at the very least alive. I can imagine there might be a law to protect Beth purely for sentimental reasons, but not his grandkids.
Since the show refuses to time travel and each Summer is about the same age- that would mean that a great number of YOUNG Summers became a significant threat to Rick's autonomy. I can only imagine what older ones might achieve.

Summer, definitely my favorite Character
Summer went from being in season 1 the typical "Sister who wants to be popular but not much else" to as the seasons progressed "The same but is a badass who will not take shit from anyone" and for that she my favorite character.
I like how she gets progressively less and less like jerry and more and more like Rick
someone pointed out to me a couple of years ago in like season 2 that summer is literally just jerry with ginger hair and pony tail and I can't un see it now ¬_¬

I think we can see a battle being played out in her between good and evil, hopefully she won't chose the dark side though.

I know a lot of people hate Jerry, but he's absolutely one if my favorite characters and absolutely kills me whenever I watch his scenes. For me personally Beth is actually my least favorite character.
