My dream car....Xuv500, I used W8 from 2017 to 2023 dec. I sold and decided to buy a new xuv700 but it is not worth it compared to the xuv 500 so i bought the xuu500 2021 model( used vehicle. ) in Feb 2024. Xuv 500 rock performance and excellent outlook. I have been using xuv500 since 2017.... only one concern is very expensive...but worth it....

Hope you are mentioning about the first generation XUV500. It has lots of niggles and Mahindra has sorted majority of the issues and now it's competitive.
As you mentioned Scorpio if maintained well, will have relatively high reliability.

The short answer is, it won't affect the engine.. no issues in using old diesel cars...

As per Tata they are not going to upgrade the 2.2 litre Varicor engine in the Hexa to BS6 very soon and they will be updating it in the next year. So we are planning to review it as soon as BS6 engine arrives.

Bro... The dimensions of xuv500 and marazzo relatively the same, then why 3rd row and boot space is very limited in xuv500 .
The XUV is built as a SUV with 5+2 seating configuration. But the Marazzo is a MPV with 7 seater.

Brother the engine capacity, build and technology used are similar in XUV500 and Scorpio. The differences are the different engine layout like Transverse in XUV500 and longitudinal in Scorpio and the different power and torque values.
Both will last good for 2 lakh kms

If you are considering a practical MPV with abuse friendly body on frame build with usable 7 seater with rear wheel drive Marazzo will be a good option. It's modern looking, has the required features, spacious and had comfortable ride quality.
The negative is the 1.5 L Engine which is decent comparing the size of the car. But it's not bad either.
