Thank you, I didn't realise until I saw your video it was my cable. Followed instructions and managed, screws a bit of a nightmare but couldn't have done it without this video

Brilliant I followed your instructions and they now work perfectly, the two screws were difficult to get out as the apertures were to small which leads me to think they might be fake, it has the hologram and all the right numbers , so it might be just a case of the plastic moulding not been done right at the factory floor.
I thought it was a thermal fuse at first so I bought one and installed it, pity I did not go to you first.

great video, my irons are 8 years old was working a few days ago but there was a very quiet crackling buzzing, and they stopped working no light on and not heating, it is still buzzing when moving the cable, do you think they just need a new cable, I would appreciate your help.

hi where did you buy the cable ? I'm in ireland and postage from uk is expensive enough
