I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes remembering how I ran across the original video 2 years ago and then asked and asked you to play it again with the mandolin rail and then you did! Thanks for making this such a memorable video, you're a legend!
Thank you so much for this upload. I owned a 1924 Gulbransen upright player piano with mandolin rail as well. I had to give it away back in 2014 when I was prepping to move cross country. I miss this piano so much. This is the sound I love. That ringing note at the end was great. You coulda kept that ringing for 30 seconds or more and I would enjoy every moment as well. As far as youre playing, I love the slowness of this. Joplin was notorious for writing "Do not play fast!" on top of his sheet music. Ragtime, when played slow, evokes emotions that are more complex than the slapstick looney-tune sound of overspeeding it up. Know any more of Joplins stuff? If I still had this piano, I'd be playing Gladiolus rag on it right now. Would appreciate any more uploads with this piano, especially love the use of the mandolin rail.
Such a nice performance!! Didn't expect that end at all, a little question, where can you activate the mandoline "mode" and how can I see if a piano has it?

Sometime this year is this piano's 100th birthday, you need to throw it a birthday party
An entire channel with only my favorite song. Love it very much
I was the one who begged him to record this again with the mando rail, your welcome xD

Please magnetic rag or pineapple rag? Maybe Bethena if you’re up for a waltz?
I will record Magnetic and Bethena when I have an opportunity to play this piano again.

Can you please play the Entertainer
Pineapple rag?
entertainer next?
Bro last time you played it was 2014
my fault he posted this, I asked 3 times for it
Why are you playing it a half step lower than the original? Or is the piano really out of tune?
The piano is that out of tune.
You plaited very good but the piano has a terrible tuning😣
That’s the point. It’s called a honky think because the piano sounds goofy
F dur?
As Dur!
G dur
@@cdllc1956 scram, I was here first xD
@@PiotrBarcz Yea right, but probably played in As Dur (Ab) because the piano is tuned down like mine was 😂
We always meet in ragtime vids
@@cdllc1956 Well of course this was played in the fingering of A flat but the piano is a half step flat making it G major xD
