there's a free demo up on their steam page last I checked.
The biggest problem with Freelancer was the lack of HOTAS support. Other than that, kick ass!
Sounds like the flesh walkers have taken over Splat's body as his voice is different just enough to Def be a skinwalker
Freelancer, and Homeworld 2 are my favorite space games
I cant wait! I loved Freelancer and I'm hoping the modding potential for this game is as good as Freelancers was xD
I'm so amazed that Underspace is a fantastic Project Lonestar
Loved Wing Commander and Freelancer.
Hi Splat, love your channel, good work as always BUT..I have to say that while Freelancer, a genre defining game and superb in its own right, was vastly inspired by Privateer 2: The Darkening released in 1996.
Privateer 2 was one of my favorite games back in the day. I still remember working towards the Heretic ship and eventually getting it. Good times.
Same thought. I still remember waking up at midnight in to play a couple hours while the parents slept. I had a Logitech sidewinder? Man. Played a lot of the discovery mod of freelancer too. Memories…
The director of privateer 2 was Erin Roberts, Chris Roberts' brother. Making space games is basically the family trade. Hope they succeed with Star Citizen. But I guess Underspace will be finished and released before we get even the single player game Squadron 42 both brothers are making.
While Privateer 2 had a LOT of problems with its combat I’d still say that the design for everything in the game, from ships to the UI, is to this day unchallenged
Homeworld, Colony Wara and X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter are my favorite space games...but id be lying if Freelancer didnt hold a special place in my heart.
Do you have any Liberty Ale?
you had me at "lovecraftian"
Man it's bright in space...
OMG Omg omg omg omg FREEEEEEELLLLLLAAAAAANNNNCCCCEEEEERRRRR
Man I love Freelancer
Thanks bud!
As soon as I saw freelancer in the title of this video I got excited, love your content dude keep it up
Thanks for reminding me about this catfart
Amazing, can't wait to try it out!
This game really looks like the Rebel Galaxy series.
I've been waiting for this to come out. I wishlisted it back when he made his first video about it.
I am excited about this project. Freelancer was great and while it influenced many other games, no game was quiet like it.
bruh, Freelancer was my first Space Sandbox.... you can bet your ass that Im gonna get what is essentially a spiritual sequel
Well, now I'm gonna have to redownload Freelancer and whatever is still alive on Lancer's Reactor - cant wait for this to come out!
I think Everspace 2 is filling in the freelancer space.
Looks at space bar, there is nothing underspace.
I heard the word "Lovecraftian" and suddenly you have my attention.🤣
I've recently played the Demo and although perfomance was somewhat mid sometimes, I've got really great hopes for the game. The closest I've ever felt to playing Freelancer 2 in the best way possible. Also the Nebulas are terrifying, especially when a Storm is happening.. great work.
