literally the best couch coop game in the NES, PERIOD! Me, my brother, my parents, my cousins, hell even my uncles, we all take turns to play this game back in the 90's
Apparently you either don't have much experience with the NES or you are choosing not to remember all the games where the framerate dropped any time there was too much going on. Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, Mega Man 6, Contra, Super Contra, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3...That's just a handful of the major games with framerate lag.
How nostalgic... Is been 11-12 years since I last played this... Yet the memories are still fresh XD Is amazing how simple yet fun those were, while now I have +20 games in my laptop and I barely play anything

What I know about the power-ups(you get them by shooting tanks flashing red): Star: Upgrades your Tank with better armour along with faster and more powerful bullets Tank: Gives you an Extra life Grenade: Instantly destroys all enemies on-screen Shovel: Protects the Eagle Symbol for a short time Clock: Freezes all enemies for a short time Helmet: Makes your Invincible for a short time
there was a version with a pistol symbol instead of a star . it gave you better fire rate , more armor then , then double bullet , then even the ability to cut down grass . I would like to get that version
I still remember playing dis game with my cousin. We started dis from stage 47 around n continued it till stage 94 untill my cousin accidently shot eagle by himself. It was kinda suicidal step by him n we both cried after wat had happened. # such a nostalgia 😄
This was "World of Tanks" long before "World of Tanks" was an idea, still remember they did an homage to this game some years ago as an April's fools event
how can i have forgotten this (G)old game from my childhood? i am one from a few 21 year olds that played NES game when as child, but i had this 300 games DVD so I always remembered contra, mario bros, donkey kong, gun smoke even balloon fight but i seem to have forgotten one of if not the best NES game (bc of the construction possibility + entirely playable custom stages with AIs)

I must say playing this boldly was very dangerous and stage 20 showing the downside of it, but luck was in his side I guess. Anyway great memories:) In the classic one that could easily transform into a loss:P

OH MAN! I used to play Battle City a lot as a kid in 94-95-96. I loved this game but I didn't remember it was soooo constantly noisy xD. Now I know why my Mother hated when my brother and me turn the console on to play it lmao
