I played this game a lot as a child, I used to build my own levels and sometimes I get other tanks to stuck inside the bricks haha great memories :) !

Seems you never got to play Contra Forces (Arc Hound in Japan), the first NES game that lagged because of high graphics (by NES standarts, of course)
@@George_Bulkin 1st game? I sincerely doubt it. There were plenty of games where the framerate dropped considerably.
Apparently you either don't have much experience with the NES or you are choosing not to remember all the games where the framerate dropped any time there was too much going on. Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, Mega Man 6, Contra, Super Contra, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. 3...That's just a handful of the major games with framerate lag.
literally the best couch coop game in the NES, PERIOD! Me, my brother, my parents, my cousins, hell even my uncles, we all take turns to play this game back in the 90's

How nostalgic... Is been 11-12 years since I last played this... Yet the memories are still fresh XD Is amazing how simple yet fun those were, while now I have +20 games in my laptop and I barely play anything
now I am 28 and I think I played this game when I was 7 ,the most nostalgic part for me is the eagle crest lol

My grandpa introduced me to this when I was a little kid. Building your own level was awesome and the game was so much fun back then.
Omg, I used to come home when my dad was in hospital, and I played this with my grandpa.
You still managed to protect the eagle in stage 20 inspite of it being fully exposed! Kudos!!

Damn, this took me 33 years to finally know the name of this game...
I saw my cousin play this game once for like 10min just when we entered his house with my parents. Never forgot about it, but i was to young to play it then.

one of the best games of all time. We played this for hours!! got very long but lost because we left the base thinking it's fine covered with steel. But at higher difficulties, the enem ies could blast through steel.. so we lost.

What I know about the power-ups(you get them by shooting tanks flashing red):
Star: Upgrades your Tank with better armour along with faster and more powerful bullets
Tank: Gives you an Extra life
Grenade: Instantly destroys all enemies on-screen
Shovel: Protects the Eagle Symbol for a short time
Clock: Freezes all enemies for a short time
Helmet: Makes your Invincible for a short time
there was a version with a pistol symbol instead of a star . it gave you better fire rate , more armor then , then double bullet , then even the ability to cut down grass . I would like to get that version
Even ship symbol that will let you cross water

i remember playing this game in 2 player mode.. when im pissed off with my brother, i fire at the eagle base hahahah! GAME OVER PERIOD!! then he would bust in tears looking for my mom hahaha!! Damn miss those times so much!

I ever played it over night with my bros. We play in different roles, offensive and defensive. The STAR item will be reserved for the offensive player as first priority.
Enjoyed it as a kid. I never noticed all the interesting references throughout the levels though
This is BY FAR better than CoD. I played this game with girls and we all had fun. Show me a girl that has fun with CoD!!
I must say playing this boldly was very dangerous and stage 20 showing the downside of it, but luck was in his side I guess. Anyway great memories:)
