I'm so glad you reacted to this version. I wasn't on camera when I listened to this, so I just let the tears flow freely because I FELT the emotions that Angelina so expertly conveyed in her performance. What's cool was after she finished, she apologized for making us cry, then added, "We'll cry together...." And to think that she was 17 years old and graduated from high school just a few months before. Truly a gift to our generation.

I am obviously biased, but for only the most sincere of reasons, I feel ALL reactors should have been reacting to this Version - the Nobel Peace Prize Tribute Angelina Jordan STORY. For some things CONTEXT is Everything. Of course Angelina will deliver a performance to behold every time, but knowing the backstory - particularly for the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize - brings ANGELINA's performance into a new Dimension. I pains me every time I see another reactor having reacted to the "Official" Unofficial version - nearly all of them "Don't get It" - not that I am blaming them, not at all, more so I am sad that they didn't really know the Foundation supporting the Stage ANGELINA stood Upon.

It will be nice to see another new audience be exposed to the story and then be able to more fully Appreciate what they are watching as Angelina once again brings us to tears.

They totally ignore the brief backstage introduction to her family, Angelina introducing herself by telling us how old she is, where she's from, what she wants to be when she grows up, her performance, and the remaining 0:51 seconds which includes the judge's comments AFTER she leaves the stage and more backstage footage! I feel you now understand exactly where I was coming from when bringing this video to your attention and my urging you multiple times to react to Angelina's NOBEL performance with the perspective gained through the knowledge of the more complete story of the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize, the winner Narges and Angelina's related Story. " I'll be coming home, wait for me", this has to break Narges' children's hearts. God love and keep Narges, and give her and her family strength till the day, " She'll be coming home.

If you listen to the words it’s as though Narges Mohammadi is talking to her twins in the audience through Angelina..it’s chilling in a way but utterly perfect and beyond moving..each time I see her clasp her heart and look at the twins I’m gone, tears! Thank you for this 🙏
And sadly she was sentenced to 15 more months today for refusing to wear a hijab for her much needed visit the hospital, just heartbreaking. Let us all pray for Narges ❤😢

Angelina Jordan's decision to interpret the song like this is majestic, because Angelina sacrificed what no one would have done, all her vocal virtues and her prodigious technique, to give a message of love, hope, faith, part of a woman. who has sacrificed her family, her physical health and her life for a noble and just cause, for equality and the rights of women and children in Iran, sentenced to 10 years in prison and the firmness of not recanting even knowing that she can to lose everything, what courage of a woman, her children present at the ceremony received the award, it was a message from a desperate mother to her children present in the unique voice of Angelina Jordan, it was not AGT or the Super Bowl to show off her voice, Angelina Jordan left vanity and the Ego for an act of loving kindness.
Angelina has an Artistic vision for Everything. Once she envisions it, she sticks with it. She knows where she wants to end up and each choice along the way leads to her desired destination. Whether that be choosing a black & white video and / or minimalist / understated clothing and makeup - things one might expect a young up-and-coming artist to exploit. Angelina is Respect - she respects the big picture - it is Never about herself. She is Selfless. One of the many qualities that makes her Adored so.

I think a lot of people don't realize how much Angelina has done in her short life She has recently performed at the Nobel Prize 2023, and also performed at the FIFA AWARD, also performed in front of 40 000 people only 11 years old invited by Norah Jones.
She was also specially invited by Quincy Jones to perform on his 85th birthday in the O2 arena / London. And so on goes the list... She has over 250 songs on TH-cam with cover songs and many originals. Angelina also plays piano and guitar.Angelina, is the young legend! The truth is that within a year or two she will be the artist for the big occasions. and not a artist who tops a list for a week and is forgotten just as quickly.

Angelina's artistic attributes are second to none. Her soulfulness transitions into a form of pure love when we listen to her sing and our hearts welcome her love. Once there it will never leave. Her golden spirit defined by her humbleness and a kind, caring and loving persona has inspired us to be the best we can be as beautiful human beings and together we can make the world a better place to live for everyone. She affects us so dearly when she is singing 'for us' our brain shuts down and our heart takes over and we travel off into her world, a place we cannot see but we can feel the love streaming into our hearts. Those of us who have discovered her are so very fortunate but there will be millions more joining us in the very near future who will experience the thrill of letting her touch their lives. Do we expect them to act any differently than we did? Sooner than later everyone in the world will know who Angelina Jordan is and to see her perform live in Concert will be a wish everyone will want to fulfill. Who is she? When she walks to center stage, before she has even sung a note, tears begin to well up in our eyes. The essence of love surrounding her is overwhelming and what we see, and hear, and feel is genuine and never doubted. There is no magic involved, no theatrical gimmicks, she is real, very real and how many of us have openly said we have never felt a love like we have for Angelina than we have ever felt before in our lives. (And a lot of us have been around the block many times.) James' presentation was first class and something to be cherished by all of us. I can only imagine what new listeners are thinking after watching this video. Actually, I can! Nothing !!!!! As I mentioned earlier their brain shut down and their heart has taken over. Goosebumps, tearing up with an urge to cry and finding it difficult to speak are some of the messages their hearts are sending to the rest of their body. They feel something going on inside them and soon they will be able to put the pieces together and understand what just happened to them. Can we call it a 'trip'? Okay, perhaps a trip to Paradise would explain it better. Ask any 'angel', "Are you a better person since you have discovered Angelina?" Their reply? They will look at you into your eyes with a broad smile. No words are necessary.... only Angelina.......

I'm glad you reacted to James' presentation and took the time to read the captions. Many reactors don't know or care to learn the back story. They obviously appreciate what a great performance it is, but we know that it is so much more than that. You sensed how Angelina is channeling a mother's cry out to her husband and children whom she longs to be with but can't if she is to remain true to her beliefs.
Thank you, James, for recommending it to reactors, so that they can inform their viewers. When I first saw Angelina sing this and it was introduced as honoring a cause, I searched the internet to find out more about it. I read the committee's press release and associated articles and was sad when so many passed it off as just another great concert. It is phenomenal, and I can't really blame them for what they don't know. So, thanks again for putting the spotlight where it belongs.

The ability this girl has to captivate and move the people who listen to her is absolutely incredible, as is her sensitivity in choosing and interpreting the song for this ceremony. This performance of hers is charming and wonderfully intimate, she made this legendary song perfectly suited for the occasion of the tribute to Narges Mohammadi's story! I was moved to see and hear Angelina singing in such an incredibly mature and charming way 7 years after the last time and in the same studio and certainly also with some of the musicians who accompanied her as a child, when she took her first steps towards his musical future. Here Angelina was simply fantastic and "unchained", probably the only singer who at only 17 years old has already sung on 2 different occasions at the celebrations of Nobel Prizes.💛🧡❤

Many of the reviewers who have reacted to this, do so without knowing the back story and the profound significance of the performance. Of course, the mind-blowing, overwhelming beauty of her voice, and the brilliance of her talent and vocal mastery still shine stunningly through, but in order to appreciate the soul-stirring reverence and gentleness with which she performs the song, and the amazing appropriateness of the lyrics for this particular occasion, and therefore to feel the full emotional impact it generates, you need to understand the back story. Just a note: one of Narges Mohammadi's most important struggles was for women's rights in Iran, and the reward her bravery? She is now languishing in prison, separated from her family.
