My goal for this year is to save as much money as i can and to stick to hair products that work. To maintain a healthy lifestyle and focus on my mental health.

You've got great goals. Mine is to continue to eat better, drink my herbal teas. Create a food diary to monitor what I eat. Get my scalp analyzed and grow my hair to bra strap length and to get a professional trim. Lastly which is the post important praise God in all things.

Your goals are on point! I had relative success in 2024 by sticking to the basics and only following the strategies of 1 TH-camr. I chose to follow your 2023 strategy and just learned to love my twists. My goals for 2025 are: 1. Wash my hair when my hair and scalp tells me to…not on a routine. 2. Moisturize my hair when needed 3. Satin bonnet when sleeping 4. Flaxseed gel to ends as needed to stay clumped-that has been a game changer for me 5. Enjoy caps and scarves. I made myself some simple textured headband bangs and I wear my caps or textured wig that I put 2 strand twists in same length as my hair. 6. Wear my own twists out maybe one or twice every 2 weeks. 7. Just listen to my hair and God and nobody else 8. Focus on internal health. 9. Exercise 10. No combs just finger detangling. 11. Continue not to focus on perfection. Enjoy my twists as that is the style that will help me manage all this length and keep it growing. Thanks for all your insight and transparency. You are the best!!!!

Using gel on the ends is a good idea. I can't wear my ends out because I'll end up with knots due to the length(20 inches now😊), which is why I've had crystal beads on my ends for a year.

20k inches? That's a lot of length 👍 I use flaxseed, aloe vera, and chia seed jel together and seal my end's.

I have been back in my diy yarnbraids since Christmas Eve 2024. This is my trusted length retention style. I redo my nape every three weeks. I redid two in the middle that were somehow intertwined and they we so easy to remove with my fingers only. I will be in these unti i finish the school year. I will redo the entire head (one ny one) at the thwo month mark. Five weeks in so far!!! ❤❤❤

I like the simplicity of your goal, Coily Diaries, especially that you are intentional in writing them down and sticking them to your mirror.
    My goal are:
    1. To retain 6inches this year, by using the banding method/faux locs every month.
    2. Maintain weekly moisturising.
    3. I also plan to dust my ends as needed.
    4. Maintain moisture and protein balance
    5. Use Ayurvedic products.
    6. Frequent massaging of my scalp to stimulate my blood flow to my follicles
    7. Reduce use of oils on my scalp, especially clogging oils.

Awesome goals!! Sticking a list of the goals on the mirror is definitely something I’ll copy, the list will act as a reminder of what I need to do to achieve what I want, thanks for that idea.
    My goals are:
    1. Keep my hair in long term protective styles, and shifting from mini-braids to medium braids as I think those will work well for me when it comes to installation and unbraiding. Motherhood is busy so I don’t want to spent a lot of time doing my hair. And reducing the timeframe I’ll be keeping them from 6 to 3 months starting May. I currently have 3 months old mini braids which I intend to keep for 3 more months.
    2. Keep hair moisturized. Been lazy lately so want to work on that
    3. Restoring my hair back to its normal state. It’s been a rough journey the past year. Am hoping I can get to know the causes of the mid-shaft splits and have my hair healthy again
    6. Hoping my hair can reach mid-back length as a result of the efforts I intend to put into restoring its health
    7. Enjoy my hair regardless of the state it’s in

@@CoilyDiaries thanks. Maybe it’s the detangling. Recently stopped using combs and only use them when necessary. And I try as much as possible to keep away from heat. Will keep hair moisturized and be more patient when detangling. Thanks for the advice 🧡

One way of combating frizz without using products like gel that dry out my fine 4c hair, is foam lotion! But I guess that applies more towards my roots and I have to tie it down! Best of luck on your journey this year!🎉

Good day ma'am! Congratulations on your second little human on the way😊
    I hope you're doing well?
I love how honest and open you are about your hair.
As for me, I'm still there with my hair o 😂
I also intend to up my game in REALLY caring for my hair this year.
I would have loved to work with twists for long term protective styling due to easier installing and uninstallling but I'm scared of the locking😂
So I'm thinking of sticking to plaits, just that plaits take timeeeee😂
But I'm also thinking of switching between twists and plaits.
Or what would you advise that I can work it?
I don't have a particular length goal asides my long term goal of waist length.
Probably mid back for this year 😅
Besides, I love your bathroom setup and the idea of pasting your hair goals on the bathroom mirror ❤
Looking beautiful as always. Thank you sis ❤
