as a super casual fan of nascar this was really cool to watch, hope they continue to this and experiment a little more with different types of tracks/racing disciplines
Nascar is impressing me this year. Got to see the new cars on Talladega and it was awesome. They, even pushed the road courses more this year too which I actually like. The new cars handle the road courses pretty good. And we got dirt races added in. It's great, it allows them to show the world that they are very capable and versatile race drivers. It also allows some drivers to show they have more strengths in other types of racing. Not all these guys come from the same racing backgrounds anymore. This all good moves by Nascar.
At 7:43, the grand marshal that brought the command to star the nascar dirt race was none other than the creator and star of Hermie and Friends, the legendary Max Lucado!
I would have liked to seen Clint Bowyer do this race. I saw him on a half mile dirt track a couple of years before he showed up in NASCAR and he was really good. Tony Stewart is another that would have really shined in a race like this. I saw him and Ryan Newman compete at the Knoxville Iowa dirt track on a Sunday night after flying in from a NASCAR Race during the Late Model Knoxville Nationals.
Huge respect for Briscoe for apologising and definitely for Reddick for accepting the apology with a smile on his face. Drivers like Logano, Harvick or Kaselowski would have talked it with their fists.
Love the ending, love the new cars. I remember Kyle Bush's Rookie Year, he has come so far. That had the hallmark of Bristol when Gordon bumped and ran Wallace, but in this ending the pass failed.
Can't watch enough of KB18, he was so quick at the beginning of the season , but he was bumped away by others. He didn't deserve this one win that much, but at this point he deserved to get a win. Sorry for tyler -_-
@@michaelbirmingham1203 F1 is expensive I pay 2.99 a month and I don't get access to the races until 2 days after the finish to actually get the f1 experience you need to pay almost 130$ a year

Two rookies at the end of a race demonstrating impeccable sportsmanship and resolve in a tense situation. What a breath of fresh air. I won’t name drop but there are about 5 early 2000’s cry babies left in this sport and if they will go ahead and drop retirement paperwork I would argue 3-4 million old NASCAR fans would start tuning in and going to races again. I turned it off back in 2004-5’, I couldn’t tolerate the constant driver whining. I’ve never seen a more ungrateful bunch than that crowd back then.
