    Nice work. I really like the pattern a lot. I think if it were tied in chartreuse and white, it would be excellent for stripers. Thanks for the instruction!

    It is tough to tie the front on a tube and is not needed. We have tied it on a Partridge WADDINGTON SHANKS. This is easier than cutting the hook but are a little harder to find. As far as the action, if the eyes on the fly are heavy and it is articulated you get plenty of action. Thanks for the questions and good luck.

    Thoughts on the front 'hook'. Use spinnerbait shanks that you can bend into shape. Tie per usual and then you aren't wasting a hook, just trimming off excess wire.

    What about leaving the front hook intact? why did you choose to cut it off?

    Its a ring eye hook and Im betting their tying it on with a loop knot for that very reason.
