- George Harrison singing lead vocals on this version of the Beatles Get Back. This was a run thru version for Doris Troy during the recording of her Apple LP. Her version appeared as the flip side of her second single "Jacobs Ladder/Get Back" Apple 28, Aug. 28th, 1970.
George sings exactly the way he plays the slide guitar. Absolutely love this.
Omg you're right
He’s a human guitar change my mind. 😔
Eva R. nice to see a fellow Eva R :)
Eva Robson - Hey, that’s so cool!!
It is proof of the versatility of John Lennon to create music. Always having the capacity to create music and verses and poetry that comes from his inner experiences about life.
Every time a new song from de Beatles probably came out from John Lennon wisdom at least the
Fact. George Harrison's All Things Must Pass sold more than any Beatle's solo album. And it was a triple-album! And well deserved. Brilliant.
George actually does something really cool with this song
+Elizabeth S.
wrecks it?
In the best way possible
@@bellinghammond What? No way.....take a different perspective stubby stubborn
Wow, this version sounds like something that would fit PERFECTLY on George's album All Things Must Pass!
No, I'd say the Dark Horse period, with that funky horn section.
@@ClarenceFishernow we can say it is on all things must pass! it was recorded at that time.
No really! Where is this from?
@@bobbystereo936 All Things sessions
“Mal, - get a mop and another glass of orange juice!” XD Priceless.
Poor old Mal Evans!
george is beyond underrated vocally !!! i will scream this until the day i die !!!
He is NOT underrated. What are you talking about?
No, he's NOT underrated. What are you talking about?
It's amazing to see how each song of the Beatles could be so different if performed by a different member. They all had such different styles, but together they worked so well.
it's cool to hear George doing it, and he definitely puts his ow spin on it, but it also underscores how strong Paul's voice was. No one else could belt out a song and make it sound so effortless.
I love this version, George sang it beautifully. RIP George and John.
George makes this song more R&B !!
May be so, but Paul made it sound like it should, like the Beatles..
The band makes it R&B. George's horrible vocal ruins it.
George singing the blues. Class.
KERRY JONES how about, i me mine and for you blue?
@@maheribrahim1996 i me mine isn’t bluesy tho
@@johnnymartini4989 Are you slow? The chorus of I Me Mine is literally a blues riff and the verse is like a waltz
You can tell it's him...love that distinctive voice
This should be a bonus track from Let It Be.
I think it would fit nicely on "Living in the Material World." :-)
Was it ever put out on everything
Not Beatles
I think it's a testament to the strength of the song that George would record Get Back, especially considering that the group wasn't on the best of terms with Paul after the breakup. To record Paul's song considering these factors is a major compliment in my book.
Did you read the description? This was a run through for Doris Troy. She recorded the song. George was merely providing a guide vocal.
i love georges voice.
His voice is priceless i can't
Oh my gosh! This is amazing! He sings it so differently than Paul, while at the same time this is so awesome in it's own way! I love this! Thanks so much for posting!
At 00:38 George can be heard informing The Beatles assistant/roadie/bodyguard/friend Mal Evans that George has spilled his orange juice in the studio, and for “Mal, get a mop, and another glass of orange juice!” Mal had been with them since their days at the cavern where he was a bouncer. He would later travel the world with The Beatles and performed every job on and around their stage one could imagine. The Beatles loved, trusted and were so comfortable with Mal that he could be found in every aspect of their lives helping with anything and everything they could possibly need, too. In the studio Mal can be heard in a variety of recordings. Interesting character who was killed by LAPD after they responded to a domestic call to find Mal drugged, confused, and holding an empty air rifle which the police claimed they thought it was a real gun-gun, and he would put down.
What a cool trippy version of Get Back.
I love this version. I could imagine Ray Charles singing it this way.
Great photos! Good to hear George sing this classic- a rare one.
this is gold man, what a voice!
This is outstanding...!
George is becoming my favourite Beatle slowly...
Wow. My knowledge of Beatles recordings is far from comprehensive, but I would never have imagine something like this existed.
Thank you again :)
Love George !!!!
Well Done George, this is a super duper version !
And thanks for uploading this, Brilliant !
I’ve never fallen In love with someone so hard. He’s so PRETTY JESUS AHHHH
a very fresh and cool get back version
I just want all these little recordings of them fucking around and singing each other’s songs on a bonus album and it would be my favorite one ever, why is this too much to ask??
George was always the coolest Beatle.
+JugaJuga14 I agree!
John was
In my opinion, John was the badass "hard" member, George was the cool and collected one, Paul was the optimist and the people person, and Ringo was the best friend/ joker. I would have loved to watch them in the studio.
Spot on!
In my opinion, Ringo was the coolest
kickin' it with George
Play that funky music. Love this demo version.
Sounds very 'All Things Must Pass'-ish with the trumpets... I don't remember any trumpets on Let it Be though, so I'm thinking this happened during the All Things Must Pass recording sessions. Great job, I've never heard it before! Thanks so much!
The most quiet people are the best singers.
John Lennon he was far from quiet but yes a very beautiful voice
But John and Paul were better singers than George.
Joao Gabriel each to their own.
Joao Gabriel George was better than john
Sorry. No.
I LOVE THIS VERSION! Wow Georgie!
Fantastic version by the mighty George. Shows he could sing as well as any of them. Quite like the memphis horns also. Real nice version.
This is really cool. Love it.
Wow! Amazing - I love this version!
Great stuff. Thanks.
George: huge talent, beautiful too
LOVE IT! I have some very rare Beatles & George stuff here. You were my favorite Beatle, George, ever since I was five and didn't even speak English yet (and used to make up words to the songs). Hearing of your illness & then your death devastated me. R.I.P.
Damn George has a really Jazzy like voice in his version of this song. I really like it! :).
Great funky version. Never heard this before - thanks for posting.
I will say it again!!! I love you Gorgeous George. You are too cool! ❤️🌹❤️
What a find !!!
Thanks for uploading this !
I must say all the Beatles were very talented, and John was probably my fav fab, but overall I would have to say Paul is the most talented of the 4. Paul is just one of those guys that can pick up any instrument in the world it seems and make it sound great. Not to mention all the different ranges and sounds he has vocally. Like I said before tho, all four were incredible and together they were the greatest band ever....the BEATLES!
"ringjohn mccar'son"...
It almost sounds like Paul's your favorite
This is actually from the sessions George produced for Billy Preston's SECOND Apple LP, Encouraging Words, in which Get Back appears. And it has the first recording of My Sweet Lord, prior to the version George recorded, with Billy again, for All Things Must Pass.
very enjoyable version
i love this version
Now we just need a Ringo version!
Get Back George! Love this version!
This is amazing.
First time i am listening to this, and like it! Georgie having fun!
George was awesome. ❤
Awesome!
Nice! Never heard this before. So cool! Thanks for sharing!
This is GREAT! I never heard Harrison on this vocal before.
With Beatles in mind, I've posted the video, "40 years in 3 minutes", which is a music video containing the Beatles' rooftop performance, historical events over the last 40 years and 8mm film antics from the period, all cut tightly to GET BACK and GLASS ONION. Hope you enjoy!
Tremendous, Thanks for sharing !!
Excellent find. I've never heard this either but it certainly sounds legit. I never ceased to be amazed at what shows up. I keep thinking I've seen everything - glad I'm wrong. Thanks for sharing. I would also be interested in knowing if this is solo or Beatles.
This is amazing
RIP George, can't believe you're gone.
i know John did a version of this too during the get back sessions. i love how each beatle has their own unique style & i think they all perform it very well!
this is amazing!
Never heard George sing this before, interesting, gives the song a whole different feel. Nice.
cool! i've never seen George singing Get Back! I love his voice!
This sounds great! George was (and to me, still is) amazing!
Oh God I love him...I think this is my favorite version.
The most beautiful voice ever. O_O
Very cool! Paul would be proud!
I love this...go George...
I like it!
I love that people are still arguing about who broke up the Beatles and who sang or played what better. They are still so relevant and iconic.
This Is what we can call a version! It happens when you own your style.❤
George Harrison was just an utter genius and legend.
Damn this is good, I want an official release!
Wow! Q clase de versiòn!
il a une sacrée voix george harrison :)
I've not heard this version before. Very interesting! 5*****
my ovaries can't take this.....
What a dumb thing to say.
@@TheVeek192 i bet your a fun person to be around
lol
Stupid
man! i love george!
Wow!! Just Wow! He really got his own style!
Awesome!
(oh now I miss him even more..)
John,Paul and George`s Voices sounded so similar in style that they could (and did) sing each others songs from time to time. Mccartney does sing lennon and harrison songs in concert still.
Great! I love this... so good :)
very cool thanks for posting
The RARE "Orange Juice" mix!
Orange juice and mop - mix
A true Rockstar.
Mind. Blown.
George took this one home. Wow!
ESPECTACULAR MUSIC SONG
i prefer this version
Me too!
me too
I prefer Paul’s more “Butch” vocal style. but George’s style is always nice to hear
oh come on
when a Beatle covers another Beatle song, it is sheer magic.
love it!
this version is very interesting...
Wow I just think this is amazing
I like it!!! *____* very much!!! Is like jazz aren't it?? I love George voice!!
Well of course Paulie version is the best... but this is AMazing too!! ^___^
Thankyou for posting!!!
I get the feeling that he is just having fun. And, probably looking right at Yoko with a smile, the whole time.😁
Yeah he was known for smiling at his band mates wife, and then some 😀
GaneshaMusic that was 50 years ago get over it, ringo has :)
Why would Yoko have been at Doris Troy's recording session?
thinking, 'I swear, if she takes another chocolate bikkie ..'
Effing Awesome!
Como, es la primera vez que lo escucho, los beatles siempre me sorprenden ALA MAIZ
おお! 初めて聴いた🎉 It's cool🌠
