I totally understand not wanting to celebrate holidays due to memories of the past...after my divorce my daughter would stay with her father for all of the holidays because he had a very large family...I would basically hide from everyone and just stay alone because I just didn't want to be around all the happy - joyful people....I felt miserable when my daughter wasn't with me...but I knew she deserved to feel the love and warmth of family for every holiday...
Little one is hanging on to every word big brother is saying. Wonderful 👍🏽

Sometimes you have to change your habits . When you have kids is more about them than about you. I am a foreigner who lives in this fabulous country for many years and as I share my culture I adopt new ways of the USA los de as well.

My husband stinks at accepting gifts 🤣 He grew up rich as the only minority child in a white neighborhood and his bday is Dec 20 so everyone just forgot his birthday. Christmas is a work in progress with him. He pretty much adopted my daughter when she was 3 so now he has no choice. She’s 12 now and is the biggest Daddy’s girl. We get sick of people pointing out he’s black she’s white so we have to be lying 😒 he tries to go out with her alone and people are such busybodies. Last time police were called because they had a Daddy/Daughter day at Starbucks. Police knocked on my door asking if she was mine and wouldn’t let them go until I confirmed.
Peter you are right!!!!!! Material things are not important!!!!!! It’s the LOVE that people shared with YOU in your life and to APPRECIATE THE LOVE that they shared with you in your lifetime and to be JOYFUL on Christmas to APPRECIATE the love in good time memories that is forever grateful.....Peter your heart is soo so GENUINE with LOVE a for your BOYS.

Little Guys of the future. Maybe tie an elastic thread or ? on both ends of the temples, adjust for size around back of head, so the child doesn't have to keep trying to keep the glasses on?

We didn't celebrate Christmas with a tree when we went to live with my dad. He didn't wrap gifts, no lights, etc. So when I got older I didn't do Christmas trees or lights either. But then I had my daughter and that changed everything. Now I bake the cookies for Santa, go take pictures with Santa, leave the carrots out, read Christmas books, watch Christmas movies, wrap gifts etc. Kids bring out sides of us we never thought possible.

It's a miracle with the Christmas tree appearing! Years, ago, my poor uncle didn't own a nice suit to go to his sister's funeral. He was afraid to be embarrassed when he went. He prayed to God for something to wear. He opened his closet and found a really nice suit --- and had no idea how it got there! He just said, "Thank you, God!!" Gorgeous tree! Good work, Family!
Peter, I love it! Teaching those boys that family and time spent together is what's really important. This will be a difficult Christmas for many who haven't seen family all year....and won't be able to see them over the holidays. Presents come and go over time....family love last forever.

What a wonderful idea the pictures. GBY all. Your testimony is a reminder to many that other peoples crosses they bare are much larger than many. My father always gave us only a few gifts and big dinner to remind us of what Christmas is about the true meaning. Hope your day was wonderful🙌

Lol I understand you Peter. Christmas looks like such a big thing in the US. Here it has been just a normal day but with a bit of a great meal and sometimes church. No trees no gifts no decorations. or cards lol if you want to see a tree you go to the mall😂😂😂but its not that bad
It's nothing compared to the Philippines. People here starts decorating and playing Christmas Carol's at the beginning of ber months (September October, November, December).

Very touching video! My family gave lots of gifts but everything was about how much money they spend and there is no relationships in my family so although there was always a tree and lots of stuff, there was no love or connections. I cant afford a tree and I tell my children not to give me presents because I never want them to feel obligated to give gifts the way my family did to me. Though we dont have a tree, I try to make sure they feel valued and loved.
Please reconsider gifting. It does not mean buying things but offering your time, swapping experiences, perhaps baking goods or hobby crafts to swap, sharing activities and taking responsibility for organizing outings together like picnics, going to local neighborhood activities and festivals. Share yourself!

I never put up a tree anymore . The son that Christmas meant something to died . All the other children are grown . It is fun when they are young . I am old.now and I enjoy my little dogs and my big chair .

Yes, he is. The process of reunification can take time. He will be home full time very soon.

I like your idea of the decoration of the Christmas tree. All of you are teaching people a lot about Christmas. I would prefer Christmas without presents and think about people who are not as lucky as we are. Children could have presents on 6. December, St. Nicolas day like in Holland.
