mak’s animation is absolutely obliterating me 😂 also: listeners could be cousins? part of the family but not necessarily the immediate family (aka parasocial boundary lol)?
I'm so sorry that Mak and Ashley have both had people cross boundaries. That is never okay. In regards to Alayna's fans being more respectful than Ashley and Mak's fans, I wonder if it's because people don't respect boundaries of masc people as much? Like, guys are supposed to be always down for sex, which is toxic. And maybe there's some degree of that, in how people see masc lesbians. And none of that is okay. Masc people deserve to be asked for consent as well.
idk about mak but ashley is always borderline flirty in her stand up and people think its ok to be like that to her too not realizing shes an entertainer and thats her act.
The fact that it's entirely Alayna who is actually understanding and interpreting the question, and pushing the others to actually answer it. I seriously wonder if she wasn't there if they would have ever actually answered the question.
As someone who grew up with Mamrie Hart, Grace Helbig, and Hannah Hart (back in the day) I swear to gay god this is the gay trifecta I’ve been waiting my whole life for. Hannah gave us the representation we needed, but this is the representation we deserve 💛💛💛
To see the adoration and joy on Alayna and Ashley's (and presumably Mak's) faces while talking about giving, while also having a big gay grin on my face at the thought of it, very sapphic. And kinda beautiful and endearing honestly.
Aleyna: "the question is, what are you getting out of topping somebody" Me at home immediately shouting in response: "EVERYTHING!" and then realizing Mak said the same thing at the same time and that basically we all replied the same thing at the same time Ahahah omg what an epic moment!
I'm slowly realizing how gay (I think more bi) I am and its great being able to relate to people when I never thought anyone felt the same way and with them being able to word things exactly how I want to is amazing. I really hope this podcast never ends I will watch it forever!!! :)
As a straight cis woman I love this! And I love all of you and this trio podcast feels like the universe made it so that you three met each other to do this. It's so funny, relaxed/natural feeling, easy to listen to and as a straight gal that follows all of you because, yes that is possible, I am very sure about my sexuality, and I don't care that I love following these three amazing people, just because I like their personality and the messages they share because I stand behind the same viewpoints. And the fact that this wil help so many (young) queer people is just a big plus. So happy that you found each other and are now like the best online supertrio!
Just found this podcast and I swear it’s the most adorable wholesome interactions ever. I’m not the target audience, but still love it. I’m a straight guy, but my wife is bi and my daughter is sapphic ace and they love it too.
I think I'm the gay cousin that's most far away from you guys! I'm a lesbian from Argentina, and this podcast and ashley's podcast are helping me a lot to just talk to girls haha It's really hard to date here, especially in my city (there's no gay bars) but I'm trying. Also, Ashley, I think you're really sweet and funny, pls don't say mean things to yourself. love you all
Maks dam Cameleon eyes going everywhere fn killed me!!!!!! the first 30 seconds made me laugh the hardest since my break up 4 months ago. I really did need that. THANK YOU!
Aw, Mak. You don’t need a “big enough” reason to protect yourself when your boundaries are being invaded, or when you feel uncomfortable. Boundaries are the things you do to protect yourself, & that includes removing yourself or at least putting distance b/w yourself & a situation that feels icky. You might do entertaining things for an audience, but you don’t exist for other ppl’s entertainment. You’re a human being first. Ppl who are offended by you feeling safe are not ppl worthy of being in your space.
I just started watching this podcast today n I had to comment because I just realized I genuinely feel so at home watching this. It took me 17 years to realize I wasn't straight, and at first I thought I was bi and demisexual, then later thought I was pan, n now I'm 27 and it wasn't until I got into therapy last June that I realized I am lesbian, 2 months into therapy lol. Since coming to that full realization last year I've been able to get sober from alcohol and get on actual medication, have much healthier habits like exercise, and I just feel so comfy in my skin in a way I never knew I could be. Started watching Alayna Joy's videos a few months ago after one of my pals put me on n have felt so validated in this existence!! Ashley Gavin I've seen some stand up of and lovvveeee her she's hilarious n reminds me of many my friends n fam members I adore in my life with how down to earth n witty she is, n watching this podcast introduced me to Mak who's so lovely n so funny n I'm just so grateful for y'all creating this. Thank you thank you thank you 💗
Jesusssssss I'm so glad I found this podcast! Right👏🏼on👏🏼the👏🏼money👏🏼with what I've been trying to find in a podcast! Funny af while being vulnerable and open
I’ve been binging these first couple episodes and everyone in this coffee shop thinks I’m crazy bc I keep laughing. I need more yall this is my new favorite thing
I love the opening statement from Mak compared to how mad she was at her BDSM quiz results a year previous... which apparently confirmed a bunch of comments from fans claiming that Mak's a bottom. 😊
This is absolutely one of my favorite things to listen to right now and I love how open and supportive this little community is, but the way you guys talk about men sometimes seems more accusatory than thoughtful and progressive. It’s really easy to shit on men especially in mostly female/non binary environment and I know lots of women including myself have bad past experiences. But if we expect men to understand and do better, I think it’s time to start including them in discussions like this. Not literally inviting a man onto the show, but speak about them with the same sensitivity and compassion you treat other people with.
I'm from an Asian family, living in Canada. I called my dad "daddy" until I was 12 which is when I moved to Canada. I started calling him dad to fit in to the local culture, but "daddy" is always going to be a word for actual fathers to me. It drives me crazy that "daddy" is considered sexy in western culture.
First of all, LOVE THIS PODCAST! These are my favorite kinds of conversations and I love that they are happening on such a public platform. One of the things you guys talked about with being submissive vs dominant in a giving role reminded me of the "wheel of consent" which is basically diagram to help you map out your preferences and there are exercises to like playing around with where on the wheel you find yourself typically. It was super fun to learn about and experiment with so I thought I'd share! Thank you guys for the awesome content and I'm excited to see more :)
The facts that I just sat here for 3h listenig to all the episodios (also followed on Apple Podcasts) as soon as youtube recommended it to me. I loved it, u guys are honestly the best.
Ashley's all or nothing self-confidence reminds me of this one German rapper who for his solo career had two personas, one where he went in depth about his insecurities and one where he was the overconfident "I am the best and you all suck"-rapper type. Eventually, he did more with the confident persona and gave the other one up because he noticed how it had affected him in his head space. At some point he even said that he is getting closer and closer to that persona himself and wants to pass that on to his fans as well. PS: If you have any actual German audience, they might go wild about this because he used to be a famous TH-camr back in the day and it's a whole thing. But the message stands!

I think this is my favorite thing to watch. I love the dynamic (wish I had my own parent friends). My gay journey is at its beginning, so hearing what you guys have to say is funny and informational. Thanks for making this podcast!
Meditation is focusing on only the physical in that moment. Letting any thoughts pass as though they’re clouds or cars bc you can’t chase those. Focus on how your legs feel in the seat your sitting in, the noises that surround you, the way your feet meet the floor. When you actually meditate it’s such a weird feeling internally/externally, I learned how to in middle school bc my crisis councilor found that talking wasn’t working.
Also just watched all 3 super sexy sapphic episodes while a heavy monsoonal storm/downpour is crashing down outside, and the frogs are in choir mode. Sorry to hear you that you sometimes feel like everyone is a terf these days :( Unfortunately there are a lot of terfs out there, and these hurting, negative, hateful people often seem to scream the loudest. But please know (and I think you already do) there are also lots of beautiful people out there who love you for who you are. And here at the chosen family dinner table (I know I am also merely a cousin listening in, lol, but I know these three ladies will make sure this is a safe space for you) you are very welcome. Sending you lots of love🧡
Love to have Mak in person obvi but the animation was kind of a mood. The eyes were hilarious. 🤣 Cartoon version Chosen Family might be something to explore for the occasional giggle. (Or merch 👀)

Aww, I love being the gay cousin lol, that's really cool 😊
The way that Mak explains how she likes to be on her knees for girls, while bing an animation. Im dying. Also I love that Idea abt the cousins!!!
I wanna like this comment but it has 666 likes. But yes I agree.
Gladly will be a cousin

Such an interesting point!
I think is more of type of content thing rather than being a masc thing. But it could parallel a little bit.
idk about mak but ashley is always borderline flirty in her stand up and people think its ok to be like that to her too not realizing shes an entertainer and thats her act.
Alayna has a more wholesome like educational vibe content where mak does thirst traps and ashley does comedy around sex. but i think its both
Yo that's pretty interesting- could be.
The fact that it's entirely Alayna who is actually understanding and interpreting the question, and pushing the others to actually answer it. I seriously wonder if she wasn't there if they would have ever actually answered the question.
thats why shes the mom
Shoutout to Mak for being very vulnerable about having sensory issues (the loud noises and the oral fixation). ❤
“You’re doing good!
You’re doing good!”
*Thumbs up*
Alayna is so sweet
Yes this I was like omg it’s an actual mom proud of their son lol
Mak's eyes while saying it's nice to be used lmfao
I love how Mak was animated, so saying the word she was nervous about (and apparently put sunglasses on for) was way more veiled than she intended. 😆
Mak’s “Wait…maybe I said something wrong” killed me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Right? Old enough to be her mom, but she sounds like my dad (if he was a lesbian that could actually talk about sex). 😂😂😂
"It's my ambulance fan" had me actually laughing, can that also be merch, like what would the ambulance fan look like?
I love Mak's boy child bedroom in the background lmao
Whoever did the Mak animation is a genius.
