thank you so very much my brother from another mother. i've been trying to import my dataset for the past 3 days, i simply couldn't find a video that was so easy to follow. kept getting secure--priv issues and no matter how many times i tried to edit the .ini file, i simply couldn't import my dataset. with this method, it took about 10 seconds and now im in.. life saver man thank you.. subbed.
Thank you so much for making this video! I had been stuck on a project for a long time because nobody could make a video that properly explains how to upload an excel file to MySQL. This has been amazing!
out of all the useless videos and online resources, yours is the most making sense. Thank You and God Bless! You saved th ehumanity from unwanted answers and wasting further time
5mins Video with powerful insights. God has just used you to help me out, I will only not thumbs up but also subscribe to your Channel. Thanks so much!
Any suggestions on how to actually get the data to load? The load bar won't move when I try to import a CSV following these directions. I am working on a Mac.
I had been hunting for this type of import forever thank you so much you saved my booty. Everything else kept wanting me to download other stuff. I knew there had to be a simpler way and this is it. THANK YOU!!
Thank you so much, just like everyone else said in the comments this really was exactly what I needed and you got right to the point. You are a cool guy too, even though you get right to the point we all still get to see that, well done brother thanks again.
I should also add that the file was imported as all text fields because it would not import the file with some blank dates. So I am manually changing the columns from Text to Date. The date fields in my CSV file are in the correct YYY-MM-DD format. Dates values are accepted by MySQL, a blank date gives an error.
Great video, thanks. Just a comment: maybe MySQL Workbench will tell you that the CSV file has incorrect coding. To change this, open CSV file with NotePad and Save as... and (important) change the coding according to your MySQL needs (lower right option, next to the Save button in NotePad). ALso, depending on the amount of data, it can take a long time to import all rows to your server.
thank you so much brother it was one of the best video ,,I watched 2 videos before it as well but I didn't understand your method is very great for explaining ...
Is there a way to take Excel streaming data and send it to a database to store for access at a later time? If so how would something like that be done using VBA or Python?
Hi brother, i could successfully import my data. Thanks. But, I'm facing issues when i try to query the date column as it's accepted as a text data type rather than a date data type while importing. Please help me.
I did the same bro, but there is some problem showing *can't analyze file, please try to change encoding type* error in *configure import settings*. Please help....
I have approx 6 lakh rows in my data, and it is taking lot of time to import and also I am not sure it will import it or not. Is there any other method to make it little fast.
What if our data values are in Arabic-based characters? Then it will only show MyUnknownColumn as the column name and displays question marks as their values even though utf-8 encoding has been selected.
Thanku very much I am looking for it for 5 hrs
Me too. Been looking for it for long
No extra talking. Precise and very simple to understand. Keep up the good work!
